Seth had beaten the two seniors until only their eyes could properly function.
They watched in joy as they saw Raela appear. Although they weren't good with her, she always stood for justice. If they could just lie and blame it all on Seth, they could watch him get thrashed by her.
Their mouths could also function so they opened their mouths to speak. "Senior Raela, that bastard called Seth started it. We simply wanted to teach him a lesson but the bastard…"
"Who are you calling a bastard? You dare call my little brother a bastard? Ah, I think I understand why he would beat his seniors this much." Raela cut them off before they could finish explaining.
'What the actual hell? They're siblings?' The scar-faced boy thought to himself.
'Of course, they just had to be related. No one from a normal family could best two seniors and we didn't seem to catch on earlier.'
His eyes moved in Seth's direction and he could see a wide grin on the boy's face. This smile alone gave them a hint. 'He didn't say his family name on purpose.'
Only now did they understand. He hadn't said his family name because there was a beast who had the same name currently studying in the institute. If they found out they were related, they would scurry away and he didn't want that.
He had piled up emotions from a wasted week in the library, pains from only getting beaten by Raiden, and even pain from his stagnant growth. He couldn't grow his mana core in the institute since someone might notice him.
Now, he found stress relievers and he didn't plan to just let them escape because he told them his name.
"Sister Raela, it's okay. I'm not hurt in any way so let's just leave. Besides I don't really care whatever names these losers call me. If they dare try to make a move on me again, I can just beat them up and I'd they being someone I can't beat, I'll have to use my ultimate card. You." He ended his statement by pointing at his sister.ß
"Feel free to do so." Raela smiled as she walked closer to her prized possession.
"Let's leave." She said when she got closer.
"Sure. Let's head back to the cafeteria though. I still have my food to finish and a friend to keep company." Seth informed Raela who only nodded to show her agreement.
They left behind the two students Seth had beaten, certain that they would be taken away for treatment. Someone could do that much right?
They weren't on the verge of death so they could last much longer on the floor even if no one agreed to help them out which was nigh impossible.
At the entrance to the cafeteria, Raela turned her head to look at her younger brother with a smirk on her face. "When were you planning to tell me you were that strong? I don't think anyone on the same level as you or even in the next class year can win against you, your opponents only being students from the same year as me or above."
He also had a grin on his face. "That's too much of an exaggeration. And I did plan on telling you when you were graduating so you wouldn't have to worry about me that much."
"Silly little kid. Let's head inside for now. I'll need to see this friend of yours." Raela smiled. The consequences of the fight just now being something they could ignore. Fighting wasn't totally prohibited in the institute and if those students came for revenge, the burden was something she could easily carry.
Her belly growled the moment they stepped into the cafeteria. Hunger assaulted her after she perceived the different aromas that filled the cafeteria. "What were you eating though? I'm getting hungry too."
Seth's eyes stared in a certain direction. 'Good, he's still here.' He nodded when he spotted Mekhel still seated and almost done with his food.
"Let's go get you what to eat then," Seth said as he pulled his sister to the counter.
"I'll have another order of what I had a few minutes ago." He said to the lady at the counter when they arrived. He was now something of a VIP customer in this particular cafeteria. His orders were always hefty and he would either leave his change to get food next time or as tips for the seller.
So the two women in charge of the counter always made sure to remember his orders and serve him first even if he met people when he arrived.
"Coming up." She replied and got busy with his order.
"I see you've gotten popular around here." Raela didn't fail to notice how she immediately attended to Seth even though there were others before him.
"I've been frequenting this place for the past week so I guess that's why," Seth replied, stretching his hand to receive the tray containing the food he'd ordered for Raela.
"Thank you. I'll be back to settle my debts." Seth spoke to the lady who simply nodded before he walked toward the table he had been sitting at before.
"You sure you can eat all of this?" He asked his sister whose eyes remained fixed on the tray.
"....."
She didn't reply with words, only nodding her head.
The next second though, as if she was snapped back to reality, her eyes darted from the tray to Seth's eyes.
"You've been frequenting this place? Does that mean you've been coming to the library a lot the past week?" She asked. Only now did she understand his words.
"Yeah. I've been spending almost the whole day, every day in the library. It was a punishment for being rude." Seth replied and dropped the tray on the table in front of him. They had arrived at Seth's intended destination.
"Raela, meet Mekhel, a Year One student like me and a friend."
"Mekhel, meet Raela, my older sister and a Year Three student." Seth introduced them to each other.
Although Mekhel didn't seem to need an introduction as he already knew who she was. "M… my pleasure to meet you, Lady Raela." He rose to his feet and gave a polite bow.
"It's my pleasure to meet another friend of my brother." She replied.
She returned her gaze to Seth. "Now, who was it that punished you and what did you do in just a week of your arrival to be punished for a week?"
He smiled awkwardly and scratched his head. "The principal did. For publicly challenging a teacher." Seth answered.
"You can't be away from trouble, can you?" Raela asked with her left hand rubbing her forehead while her other hand held the spoon in the tray, ready to start eating.
"It's not my fault. It seems trouble can't leave me alone." Seth replied before pushing a spoonful of porridge into his mouth.
