Chapter 1 - Chapter one, Sudden news.

Once, there lived four kids named Brooks, Joe, Brystal and Emma. they lived with their parents in the middle of a small town. It was quite comfortable living in the town. There were lots of woods where they could have adventures in, lots of kind townspeople they knew, like Mrs. Penny, who would give them sweets everyday. The kids loved adventures, even Emma, who was quite young. They would have an hour or so of free time, and they would use up that time by adventuring in the woods.

One day, while they were reading, their mother came up to them and said, "Children, pack your things. Your father has gotten a new job at the city, and we are moving there," their mother was excited to share. "Imagine of how convenient everything is going to be there! And there's a big, newly-opened school you guys can attend. If I do say so myself, it's quite grand. You children are very lucky,"

"But, Mom," Joe whined. "The city is not suitable for us. We love having adventures. It's practically our hobby! The city is no good. It has no woods for us to play in, and I bet there aren't any horses we can ride on like at Mrs. Penny's farm,"

"Yeah!" Brooks joined in the conversation. "Also, the last time you and dad went to the city library with me, all the people were grumpy, nobody gave anything to me, and all of them ignored me! Not a single citizen waved their hand. The townspeople aren't grumpy, and they wave to us. Besides, our small school is better than a big school. It'll be much cheaper,"

"I kinda agree," Brystal's thoughts slipped out of her mouth. "Well, then. Only one way to settle this." Brooks eyed his mother. "What way?" peeped Emma. "A vote!" Brooks replied. "Who votes to stay at the town, raise up your hands," Brooks smiled to himself as he found himself and his siblings' hands raised up high. "Who votes to move into the city, raise up your hands," Brooks smiled again as only his mother raised her hands.

"WE WIN!" Brooks shouted, and the kids fistbumbed and high-fived. "Children," their mother raised her voice a little. "We are moving to the city, whether you like it or not. It's the best for your future, and for whoever that doesn't want to go, you can sit on the time-out chair for the rest of your lives,"

The children went quiet. None of them wanted to sit at the time-out chair. It was awfully boring, and they can't sit and do nothing for the rest of their lives! Satisfied, their mother smiled and said, "You may begin packing now," she pointed to their room.

The children groaned and headed to their room to pack.
