"Grr....I can't believe it!" Brooks grumbled to himself while packing. "Do you guys feel it's unfair?" he asked his siblings. "Unfair? What's unfair?" Emma asked. She wasn't really paying attention to the argument. She just listened a little and raised her hand because Brooks, Joe and Brystal were doing it too.
"Unfair that we won the vote and Mom told us if we didn't want to go to the city, we could sit on the time-out chair for the rest of our lives," Joe filled her in. "Wait....we're packing because we're moving to the....city?" it took Emma a minute to put things together. "WAHHHHH!!!!!! But I don't want to go to the city! It's so boring!!!" she wailed.
"Emma, as much as I agree with you, don't cry. First of all, you know I'm emotional and can cry whenever someone cries. Secondly, you don't want mom to hear your cries. You know we'll regret if she does." Brystal tried to calm Emma down.
After they were done packing, Brystal went to the kitchen to fetch four glasses of water for her and her siblings. After passing them out, they gulped the water quickly, tired from packing. "Guys, maybe it's not as boring as we think it is in the city," Joe said. "Maybe....maybe we can use a mobile to search up if there are any fun places in the city we could play in?"
"Ugh....Joe, are you stupid? There's not a single mobile in the town!" Brooks groaned. "Actually, there is!" Brystal shouted. "SHHH! Do you want mom to barge in and kill us?" Brooks placed his hand over her mouth. Brystal removed his hand, whispered, "Sorry!" and continued talking. "Anyway, as I was saying, there's this really old computer in the library. Once, it was the most famous thing that existed in our town. Townspeople were lining up to use the computer. Eventually, there were too much townspeople that needed the computer, and everyone was persuading the librarians if they could have it. The whole thing made the librarians too stressed out, and they decided to hide the computer from the townspeople."
"Wait a min....how did you know that? You already said hide it from the townspeople. You're one of the townspeople, too, but you know that knowledge!" Joe asked Brystal. "Erm...er..." Brystal went red and started blushing profusely. She didn't mean to collect secret information. She was a good girl. "I-i know that because.....Isawacomputerinthelibraryandoverheardthelibrarianstalkingabout'thecomputerincident.'" Brystal talked so fast all the words were stuck together.
"Super! Let's sneak there tonight. We can break in and use the computer!" Joe exclaimed. "Joe, are you crazy?! I told you to let you know! If I knew you would have an idea like that, I would have kept my mouth shut! Do you know that the police, if our town does have them, will take us away to prison? Let me spell it out for you: P-O-L-I-C-E and P-R-I-S-O-N!" Brystal snapped.
"Ugh, Brystal! I didn't know you could be as boring as mom!" Joe complained. Brystal showed him an ugly look and gave up. "FINE! We can sneak in the library! But if you say i'm as boring as mom again, I'll rip your head apart and plant it neatly in the garden!"
"YOO-HOO!" Joe shouted and he and Brooks started jumping on their bunk beds. Emma also began jumping on her bunk bed, and Brystal rolled her eyes. "Guys, Emma is sweet, unlike you both," she said to the boys. "So, no harshness in front of her. You know she'll learn from you," "Yeah, yeah! Whatever...." both the boys mumbled. Suddenly, their mom barged in and yelled, "DINNER!"
After eating, the children pretended to sleep, a trick up their sleeves.......
