I feel Quill's touch in my hair when I wake up.
My eyes peel open, and I see him standing on the side of the bed, dressed in his armor. I'm up in no time, but he grasps my arms in a gentle hold.
"It's okay, I was just coming back from training. I'm not set to leave until tomorrow." he said, trying to calm down my panic.
I nodded, brushing a lock of my hair, as I sat back down. It was early in the morning, the sky turning into it's usual blue.
"Let me get dressed." I tell Quill quietly, and he holds my hand gently.
"It's going to be okay, love." he says, and I believe it, though I wish he didn't have to go at all.
We summon the maids, and they come in with the basin and water, soaps piled neatly on the chair. I'm undressing, and notice that Quill is doing the same.
