"There it is," Wilder thought in his mind as he slowly approached a portal made of wooden branches in a circle shape.
This was the portal the cult leader had told Wilder about; the game High Heaven depended highly on portals for travel purposes, it wasn't because of convenience, though.
In fact, the amount of coins or materials needed for one transport was huge, but people still choose to use the portals more and that was because the High Heaven game had monsters of considerable strength in the vicinity of any and all towns and cities.
If a low-level player were to come into contact with a very high-level monster while traveling, they would undoubtedly die, and would end up needing a lot of time to get their game characters back on track, which is why most players used portals to get around.
Only high-level players would forgo them.
"pzzzz"
As Wilder drew closer and closer, the portal started activating.
,,,,,,,,,,,
in a small courtyard
Ahhh," the sound of someone emerging from a body of water, could soon be heard.
This person was, of course, Wilder.
He had used the portal in the cave, and now he had ended up in a fountain inside a seemingly unkept compound.
"Squeck," as Wilder was lamenting over the whole mission, the sound of a door opening resounded from the old-looking main house in front of the fountain.
A bald man in butler clothes slowly stepped out with a cane in hand; he looked quite old.
Seeing the old butler appear, Wilder swam out of the fountain and stood before him calmly, and as he stood there, his skin slowly turned icy and small fengs poked out from his mouth.
"Greetings, oh jade beast of aggression!" The butler, upon seeing the change in Wilder, fell to his knees and bowed to him.
Wilder could see the reverence of the butler; he was truly happy to see The successor to their cult, The cult leader had explained to Wilder that his exit point would be in a property of the Jade Beast cult in Savage City.
He had finally made it to Savage City, so he felt relieved.
Looking at the butler, Wilder couldn't help but shake his head as he walked past him and into the house behind him.

Meanwhile
In the middle of a bustling market place in the savage city
"The mind can only be tranquil when the body is tranquil," a bald NPC in monk clothing said as he slowly emerged from a portal in the middle of savage city.
Around him were several players and NPCs going about their business, causing a lot of noise and struggle.
But this didn't seem to bother the monk at all, as he stood there with a calm and neutral expression on his face.
Soon he took a step, walked into the streets, and disappeared into the crowd.
in another part of the savage city.
A small, rundown church could be observed; the windows were sealed shut with planks, and the doors too.
A few men could be seen standing at the alter of the church with a lady standing in front of them.
The lady was in knight's apparel, and in front of her was a small statue.
"We wish the revered Jade beast of happiness luck in this endeavor." One of the men who stood behind the lady voiced
On the lady's face was a big smile; if anyone could see her, they would most likely fawn over her cute and innocent smile.
But for some reason, the men who were stood behind her seemed to feel a bit uncomfortable when she smiled at them.
"Your wishes are not needed; the recognition of the Lord is all I need," she suddenly said while turning her head back to the statue in front of her.
She then proceeded to do a few ritual supplications before standing up.
"Have you been able to confirm the presence of the other successors in the city?" The lady asked calmly
"We have men on it," one of the men in front of her struggled to say.
"You realize that if we lose this, we will become the slaves of the other group, right? Do I need to remind you why that can't happen?" The lady spoke loudly.
Even though it seemed like she was angry, she still had an innocent smile on her face.
"We understand and will get on it immediately," they all said at the same time before bowing at the lady and leaving.
"idiots," she spat out as quickly as she could, and they all walked away.
The smile on her face was slowly becoming wider and wider as time went on; in fact, it became so wild that it looked unnatural and downright creepy.

"revered one"
Right now, Wilder and the butler were inside the main house.
The butler stood in front of Wilder in a bowing position. Ever since Wilder got here, the butler had been ulternating between bowing and kowtowing. One would think that maybe he was glitching, but Wilder knew otherwise.
After a long period of research into the High Heaven game, Wilder had come to the conclusion that this was no mere game, or at least he didn't think so. The way the NPCs behaved was just too human, and the detail was so great that the only reason he was not able to say for certain that it wasn't a game was that
The game seemed to be modeled after the immortal world, decades before Wilder set foot on it so he didn't know much about it.
That easily explained how the monster wolf that was guarding the cave was still alive and the whole jade beast town was still in tact; all he was experiencing right now were things that had happened before he got to the immortal world.
"Raise," Wilder commanded.
The mystery of High Heaven was just too deep, and Wilder would need to tread with caution as he explored the place in more depth, so he would need to treat the NPCs like they were more or less humans, lest he get bitten in the back by an NPC.
"What is the status of the dungeon?" Wilder suddenly asked.
