Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: You Can't Sit on This Chair

The slightly bright professional suit outlined Qin Ran's curvy figure, and a pair of charming eyes were hidden under the somewhat old-fashioned black-framed glasses, but her elegance was not covered up at all. Instead, it added a touch of scholarly temperament.

As the principal of a key high school in the city, Qin Ran was indeed too young, but her academic qualifications were solid. Even in China's education industry, she had quite a reputation. Her educational theories were frequently published in major newspapers.

At this moment, although Qin Ran appeared calm on the surface, her heart was turbulent.

She never expected that her best friend's cousin would be the peeping tom before her eyes.

Thinking about having to meet this guy at school every day made Qin Ran's whole being burn with anger. She wished she could pack him up and send him directly to Mars.

"Yunyun asked me to kick this stinky kid out of school as soon as possible. I originally felt hesitant about it, but now that things have turned out like this... we'll settle both new and old accounts together."

Watching Qin Ran leave, Chu Yi quietly breathed a sigh of relief. He couldn't hit or scold this woman.

If he offended her badly enough for her to call his cousin over with just one phone call... Chu Yi would inevitably receive some education from Chu Yunyun.

After all, Cousin Chu Yunyun had been really good to his family in their past life; when he came back this time around he must repay that kindness somehow.

"Come to think of it," said Chu Yi vaguely remembering something "Qin Principal is still the only daughter of Huasheng Group Chairman from Jiujiang City." It seemed that Kai Tuo Group had encountered some kind of trouble recently and shortly after that incident Qin Ran left school altogether.

"If you have any ability at that time, you can help her."

...

"Teacher Chu, come sit over here." Tan Yu greeted him. She had a hot figure but a baby face and was only two years older than Chu Yi. She was very enthusiastic.

"Long time no see, Teacher Tan," said Chu Yi politely. In the past life, he had some ambiguous relationship with Tan Yu but unfortunately it didn't last long and they couldn't be together in the end.

"I say Teacher Chu, today is a formal dinner after all. Why are you dressed like this? How did the hotel security let you in?" Zhou Ru sitting next to Tan Yu propped up her neck with one hand and glanced sideways at Chu Yi with an expression of disdain.

Most people who came to attend the party were wearing suits or evening dresses, but what about Chu Yi? He wore a slightly yellowed short-sleeved shirt and faded jeans which made him look particularly shabby.

"Little Tan, you're young and beautiful; your family runs an enterprise worth millions of dollars so most people aren't good enough for you. You can't let some toad cling onto you," Zhou Ru looked towards Chu Yi unintentionally; her meaning was already clear.

"You should mind your own business," scolded Tan Yu as she glared at Zhou Ru.

"Don't worry about me; I already have someone I like." Said Chu Yi calmly. Perhaps in his past life he would have been dissatisfied with these words but now his heart could not accommodate anyone else except that person.

Moreover, given his achievements now he didn't even bother paying attention to these people anymore.

"Which girl you set your sights on is also quite unlucky," Zhou Ru muttered.

"Okay, Sister Zhou, let's not talk about it," Tan Yu shook her head. For some reason, there was a hint of loneliness in her heart.

Chu Yi sat silently on the side. There were nine people in the first-year Chinese language group. Except for Tan Yu and his good relationship, the other teachers were indifferent to him.

"My current strength should be at the advanced level of martial artist according to the secular world classification."

Chu Yi only needed to practice "Tai Chi Mind Method" all the way to reach this level.

With internal energy, one becomes a martial artist.

Transforming into gas makes one a warrior master.

With Chu Yi's experience, he only needed to find a place with abundant spiritual energy and he could quickly enter into the realm of warrior masters.

"Strength is fundamental. In this life, I don't need anyone else and can still reach my peak."

...

Soon after, an oily-faced middle-aged man with a big belly walked over.

He was Dong Guohao, leader of the first-year Chinese language group.

Dong Guohao's eyes swept around several beautiful female teachers without leaving any trace before smiling and saying: "Come on everyone introduce our new colleague Chen Junyu who previously taught at Yizhong School but now has come here since Lao Xu retired. Moreover this four-star hotel belongs to his family."

"It's really Chen Junyu?! I've heard of him before; he became an advanced teacher before thirty years old! He comes from a wealthy family and looks handsome too! Xiao Tan did you see that? This is what we call male god instead of that poor bookworm Chu Yi." Zhou Ru's eyes lit up as she spoke excitedly

Chen Junyu!

Chu Yi looked towards him.

In his previous life Chu Yi's biggest enemy in school was Chen Junyu. In order to pursue Tan Yu, he constantly belittled Chu Yi.

Chu Yi remembered clearly that he was forced to resign later not because of Qin Ran but because of Chen Junyu.

With a smile on his face and extraordinary eloquence, Chen Junyu greeted everyone one by one. When it came to Chu Yi's turn, although his expression did not change, the contempt in his eyes was still noticed by Chu Yi.

"Hello Xiao Chu, I heard you are still an intern teacher. Don't be too nervous; if there is anything you need help with in the future just come find me. This is my business card; all items at Kaisheng Hotel will receive an 80% discount."

There were hidden meanings behind his words.

Chen Junyu called other people teachers but specifically referred to Chu Yi as "Xiao Chu". Finally, he mentioned Kaisheng Hotel without leaving any trace which elevated himself subtly.

Without even standing up from where he sat drinking barley tea calmly said: "Teacher Chen, I heard that the chairman of Kaisheng Hotel has retired and now it's managed by someone named Chen Junfei instead of you?"

Chen Junyu's eyebrows twitched slightly. This matter had always been a thorn in his heart. He and his elder brother had different mothers but same father yet their father obviously favored the elder brother more or else he wouldn't have become a teacher.

A hint of anger flashed in Chen Junyu's heart as he looked at Chu Yi, feeling increasingly disgusted.

"It seems that Little Chu is quite interested in the upper class society, but a snake is still a snake. No matter how hard it tries, it can only be a reptile and cannot become a dragon."

"Little Chu, what kind of language is that?" Dong Guohao, the head of the Chinese department, glared disapprovingly at Chu Yi. "Teacher Chen has dedicated himself to education. You should learn from him."

"Stand up and give this seat to Teacher Chen. You go sit over there."

Chu Yi sat next to Tan Yu with Zhou Ru on his other side - both were beautiful women.

Dong Guohao was also observant and could tell that Chen Junyu was clearly more interested in Tan Yu.

Even if he worked hard, Dong Guohao would only be the head of the Chinese department. But if he could climb up with Chen Junyu's support, things would be different.

As for Chu Yi, he was completely ignored by him - just a poor boy without any vision.

"Why?" A hint of anger flashed through Chu Yi's mind as he questioned Dong Guohao.

"Just because you're still an intern teacher while I'm the head of the Chinese department," Dong Guohao replied sternly.

Zhou Ru looked on playfully while Tan Yu wore an anxious expression; offending Dong Guohao would make it difficult for Chu Yi to pass his internship period successfully.

All eyes at their table turned towards them even those sitting nearby cast curious glances over too; some young teachers' eyes showed excitement as they watched on eagerly for what might happen next.

However much everyone expected something dramatic to happen though they were all disappointed when Chu Yi stood up and took several steps back saying: "You probably won't be able to handle this chair."

Chen Junyu saw Chu Yi give up his seat and concluded that he was a coward who could only gain an advantage through words.

"In that case, I won't be polite," Chen Junyu said as he adjusted his shirt and smiled politely at Tan Yu and Zhou Ru before taking the seat.

Zhou Ru's eyes lit up with admiration. "Little Tan, this is what a real man looks like. As for Chu Yi, not only is he poor but he also lacks backbone..."

Before she could finish her sentence, there was a loud thud as Chen Junyu fell off the chair along with it; red wine splashed all over his face and white shirt making him look extremely embarrassed.

"What kind of crappy hotel is this? Even the chairs are broken! Waiter!"

A waiter happened to be nearby looking awkwardly at them. "Second Young Master, this is your family's hotel..."

Chu Yi chuckled inwardly; in the instant when he stood up earlier on, he had used internal force to shatter two legs of the chair.

He took a step forward and praised: "Teacher Chen truly sets an example for others by being objective towards things without attacking people personally. When angry even scolding one's own hotel - admirable indeed."

Hearing these words made Chen Junyu turn green with anger.
