Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 - A dark abyss

Liam's breath started to pick up, not liking the darkness whatsoever. How could he when he had been traumatized by it.

"Get them back on."

"What?"

"Get the lights back on!" Liam yelled, a panick attack quickly ensuing his words as he hyperventilated.

"Liam... What's going on?"

"I'm fucking scared of closed areas in the dark!"

"But... this is a huge room." She said before Liam lowered down, covering his head with his hands as he put himself in a fetal position.

"Isn't he so cute." A teenage boy twice Liam's size said as he grabbed Liam's face, gently squeezing his cheeks.

"I know, right? I told you he was tiny." A girl said as she chuckled, Liam recognized her as one of Narcia's ex best friends. He didn't know why they had fallen out a few years ago, but he didn't really care.

"He's perfect indeed. Get him in that room. I wanna see what he can do." The guy said as he opened the door to what looked like a large old gymnasium. Liam had only taken this route because there was rumor that a lady moved in on the street with a house full of cats.

"Let me go! I want nothing to do with you!" Liam yelled as the man tossed him inside, shutting the door behind himself. Liam backed away quickly, stopping only when his back was against the wall. The sound of a zipper echoed in the pitch-black room, eyes of the poor 14 year old boy widened as he realized why this 17 year old wanted to drag him in.

"Now, where did you go, hmm?" The guy said as Liam covered his mouth and tried to stay quiet. It was so dark that even his own knees were hidden from his eyes. The footsteps grew closer and closer as Liam's eyes teared up.

"I know you're close, I put you in here. Come do your job and relieve me." The guy said before the footsteps stopped right in front of Liam. A hand violently grabbed his hair, pulling his head up with a cry as he chuckled.

"You thought you could hide from me in this room?" The guy said before he moved his face close enough to Liam's face that he could feel his warm alcoholic breath. He pulled his boxers down and smirked before poking his tip against Liam's lips.

"Open."

"Fuck you." Liam responded before his head was hit against the wall, a throbbing rang through Liam's head.

"If you don't do it with your mouth, I'll do it another way." The guy said, confusion appeared on Liam's face before he opened his mouth to respond back. The man took this as an opportunity and bucked his hips forward, shoving his member far into Liam's mouth, causing the poor boy to choke badly on it. Tears rolled down his cheeks before the man gripped tighter, thrusting into the back of his throat.

"Fuck, that feels so good. Such a small mouth, it's perf-" He said before Liam bit down as hard as he could. The man screamed in pure agony and let go, backing up immediately. Liam spat out the half he had bit off, raging screams echoed as the man fell to the ground in agony. The door quickly opened, revealing the scene to the girl outside. Her eyes showed pure terror as blood dripped down Liam's mouth, splaters of it everywhere as the man held on to his now severed cock to stop the bleeding.

"What the fuck!?" She yelled before Liam made a run for it, running as fast as he could without looking back, his throat sore and burning from the abuse. Tears kept strolling down his face as he ran to his house, never forgetting the event that transpired that day.

- PRESENT DAY -

Narcia had no idea why Liam was suddenly scared. She could feel an immense amount of fear coming from him, but she had no clue how to fix it. He had mentioned darkness in a locked room, so maybe she could counteract this panick attack with light? She quickly pulled out her phone, turning on the flashlight before crouching down to Liam's level.

"Look, everything is okay. You're fine... um... It's okay, there's light now, see?" She said as she petted his hair, Liam slowly looked up to see she had pulled out her phone. The light was pretty good as it reached all the way to the other row of shelves. Liam's breath slowly calmed down, his eyes meeting Narcia's. She looked at him with both concern and fondness.

"T-Thank you..." He said weakly through raspy breaths, slowly regaining control of himself. Narcia felt bad for him despite not knowing why this had been triggered.

"Are you okay now?" She asked in a soft tone, gently cupping his cheek. His shoulders fell a bit as her warm touch reassured him.

"I'm okay, sorry about that..." He said before she shook her head, smiling at him.

"We all have our demons. I respect yours like I want mine to be respected." She said as Liam stood up, both of them looking around.

"I really hope we aren't stuck here until morning. My phone is not fully charged, so I don't know how long it will last." Narcia said as Liam turned on the flashlight on his phone.

"Let's split up, look around for an exit. If need be, we can shout to group back up." Liam said as Narcia nodded, both of them going their separate ways to try and find the exit.

"I can't find anything that tells me more about the reversing of this curse. All of them mention the blood of their one true love or the main source of their mate. The fuck does that even mean?" Matheo said, looking up so see an annoyed Giuliana.

"Maybe he has to eat his mate? They are cannibals after all."

"That defeats the whole point of reversing the curse." Matheo said in a frustrated tone. Clearly, there had to be some solution to this. After what seemed like long hours of reading, Giuliana gasped.

"Here, it says that as a temporary solution, shifters blood can be used to restore oneself. However, the effects are not permanent and will only match the amount drank. Only the mating ritual between the two fated can break the curse forever." She said as Matheo stood up.

"That's perfect!" He said, running over to Devan. The boy looked pale and breathed very heavily. He gently shook the cannibal, making him groan before his eyes opened.

"We found a remedy!" He said as Devan sat up, the crack on his neck now covering part of his chest, even going as far as up his jaw.

"That's good to hear..." Devan said in a tired tone, his eyes slowly glancing up to Matheo. It worried the wolf to see him so exhausted. Suddenly, Giuliana smirked and put a knife on Matheo's neck, slicing his jugular. The wolf's eyes went wide as blood splattered all over the couch and walls.

"What the fuck!?" Devan said now more awake than before, catching Matheo into his arms with a grunt as the boy held his throat, desperately trying to stop his own bleeding.

"If you suck his blood dry, you can live up to ten years unbothered. Your remedy is right here." Giuliana said as Matheo gurgled, blood running down the corner of his mouth.

"I DON'T WANT THAT! DO SOMETHING!" Devan said as black tears started to fall. His face started to crack further along as Matheo looked up in worry. The wolf weakly reached up with his free hand, gripping onto Devan's shirt collar.

"See? Even he wants you to do it. Isn't that cute?" She said before one of his shoulders snapped, long canines showed as his eyes glowed blood red.

"FIX HIM." He growled in a distorted way, skin flaking off his shoulder as black blood dripped down his arm. His whole body begged him to devour Matheo. To him, it was like a free buffet. He shook the thoughts out and glared even deeper at the witch, another menacing growl rumbled from deep within. The witch paled, letting out a huff before lifting her arm, healing the wound shut.

"There, I did it. He will be fine. I want you two out of my house now." She said, trembling. Her skin was getting paler and paler. She didn't want to show it, but she was petrified. Devan gently lifted the bloody Matheo, who had lost consciousness from his blood lost and left the house. He needed to bring him back to the wolf's territory so he could be taken care of. His shoulder was hurting like hell, and his body was deteriorating, but he had to make it. He had to help Matheo.

"It's okay, little wolf... I have you in my arms. Nothing else will happen to you, mate. I promise." He whispered before coughing some blood on the ground, his vision already getting blurry.

You're almost there.... Just hang on a little longer. Don't die until he's safe.

He kept repeating those words in his head like a mantra. He had to make it, for Matheo's sake. His head started to spin before he tripped, nearly crashing to the ground. He slowly kneeled down, trying to catch his breath. His body no longer had the strength to carry Matheo.

"I'm sorry... I can't anymore..." He managed out as his vision started to grow worse. Devan looked down at Matheo and slowly lay him on the grass, nearly collapsing on him. Devan looked at Matheo softly.

He looked so peaceful despite the blood that was all over him. Devan leaned down close to his face and slowly pulled out his tongue before slowly licking the blood that was on the corner of his mouth, groaning as his body tried to fight back and bite him.

Devan started to lick off the blood that was on Matheo's neck, even sucking it out of the shirt before a severe headache hit him, pulling away as he groaned and fell to the ground, holding his head tightly. He couldn't take it anymore. His body was too exhausted now.

His eyes slowly shut by themselves as he watched Matheo sleep.
