"My family is coming for Christmas." Laylah said to Alexander as they walked around.
Actually, Laylah was tending her gardens, and Alex was more than happy to join her at it.
"your parents you mean?" he asked when she crouched to brush some snow off her asparagus,
" And Edwards. My ma and his pa are siblings. My ma is his pa 's elder sister."
"but he had Edward first? Before your ma had you." she smiled as she rose thinking about,
"Edward was the child that was not foreseen. The child they decided to keep before his parents got married." she winked at him, "if you know what I mean."
He chuckled, "his pa is a wild one?"
She tilted her head from the left to the right, " More or less. What I hear is that fatherhood mellowed him, made him more responsible. But I can't say I would have loved to meet the uncle who had a zest for life. But then again, uncle David still sort of got it .you'll see."
