“Why do you always look so sad Keiko?” The pale girl with golden brown locks and chocolate eyes asks this of her sister while they play with dolls.
“What do you mean, Delilah? Surely I could never look so sad if I’m with you.”
“You do, though. Sometimes. I know you try not to let me see, but I still see it sometimes.”
Keiko takes the little girl’s hands and squeezes them lightly. “What do you see right now?”
The girl laughs at the goofy face Keiko has made. “That’s a silly face Keiko.”
“It is, right? Let me see you make an even sillier one.”
The girl makes the silliest face she can, and then they take turns making the most hilarious faces they can manage until they both break out in laughter, the younger girl eventually falling into the elder's welcoming arms. They cuddle on the floor of the girl’s bedroom silently, enjoying this moment of happiness reserved just for them.
“Will we be together forever, Keiko?”
