Chereads / Reincarnated to a fantasy world as a girl / Chapter 4 - Chapter Three: It's Rebirth

Chapter 4 - Chapter Three: It's Rebirth

KYLEXSIS POV

She's dead.....dead..... dead.

She can't be dead... dead....dead. There are no gash wounds to tell any story....story..... story

Idiot, she's not breathing.... breathing... breathing

But Seven she's warm....warm.... warm....

The muffled voice continued on, echoing and filling my head, as I slowly slipped into consciousness. I let in a shallow breath, unable to take in a deeper one because my first intake gave me an unbearable burning sensation in my throat and nostrils. It was hot, searing through my body flooding me with life and with relief. My face subconsciously crunched in pain at the feeling of my dry throat as if it could ease the pain.

It really hurts. It's rebirth.

My chest burned with heat and my eye sockets suddenly began to throb as I willed myself to lift my heavy eye lids. The sight before me was blurry, but somehow I could manage to make an unclear outline of two faces at each side staring down at me.

Okay.......weird.

"Okay, I got this.......got this....got this..... "The head to the left began to say." We can take care of this. We are gonna need some black silk bags, a shovel-"

Wait, what?

I closed my eyes again and took in a deeper breath this time. My throat and nostrils burned less this time allowing me to take another breath that cooled my lungs. It felt refreshing, I felt relieved. I had felt as if I hadn't breathed for years

"Oh, look Seven, she's waking up?" The head to the right cried.

"Eh?" Was the voice to the left puzzled response, the sound of shuffling following his movements.

"Look her eyes are twitching and lips are parted."

Hmmmm- wait....she?

"What ar-nrgh." I tried to speak, my voice sounding gruffly and hoarse as it felt dry and rough.

I swallowed and opened up my eyes again to be met with a clear view of two male looking very much alike.....like..... gnomes? Both had round plumpy face, round big eyes and round nose littered with dark freckles and dirt reaching across chubby pink cheeks. The one to the left had a golden yellow beard and curly hair, sightly hidden under the red and green striped cone-shaped hat. His tunic was a green with red stripes just like his hat, same went with his socks, brown worn out shoes and brilliant green eyes. The other one to the my right hand dark brown beard and curly hair sightly hidden under the royal blue cone-shaped cap with a white pom-pom. A blue tunic, brown leggings, worn out black shoes and gentle blue eyes.

In a normal case scenario, a fantasy mythology fan like me would be overly excited to see a real life gnome, but in this peculiar case, seeing a real life one, inches away from your face was terrifying. So I did the only suitable reaction any normal person would do...

Scream....

And so I screamed at the top of my lung immediately sitting up and causing the two feet gnomes to stumble backwards almost falling.

"Geez, calm down little lady " The one with the green eyes grumbled as he tried to steady himself on his feet.

"Stay back." I barked fearfully moving away from them. And was it just me but did my voice sound a bit too.... feminine? And why do the gnomes keep calling me little lady. Like I know that my physique is pretty lithe, slender and really feminine but seriously, calling me little lady was just a bit much.

"Calm down little one, we aren't going to hurt you." The blue eyed gnome said softly, holding his hands up surrender style and took five very small steps towards me. Probably because of his really small legs......pfft hahaha. I moved back again but this time my back hit the hard trunk of the tree I was under, preventing me from moving backward again."I mean look at us , do we look so vicious to you? We couldn't even take down a goblin much less cause harm."

"H-how did I get here?" I asked, my voice wobbling in fright . It was all shocking, Ekhanto didn't inform me of mythical creatures that I had only seen on the pages of old library books that no one ever touched in her world. What else should I be wary of, leprechauns, werewolves, vampire,*gasp* dragons!!! The thought just made me shiver in fright.

And Ekhanto never told me that I was going to wake up in a...my pupils dilated as I took in my surroundings.

Forest? Wait what?!

I was in a freaking forest. A freaking....

No,no,no,no,no,no, NO. This was bad, this was totally bad.

I looked to my left, forest, my right, forest, ahead of me, forest, behind me, more forest, above me, large canopies of forest trees. My eyes twitched. I was....I was.....I was....

"Hey little lady, are you alright?" The green eyed gnome asked, raising a curious brow as his sharp orbs scrutinized me.

That word again. Little lady .

"Why..."I began with a gulp pausing for a second wondering why I sounded much more feminine." Why are you calling me little lady?"

"Eh?" The gnomes said in unison, looking at me dubiously." Little lady are you okay. You hit your head or something " The blue eyes gnome cocked his head to the side.

Why are they still calling me little lady?

"Because it is what it is." Another male voice spoke. In instinct, I shot up to my feet, my eyes darting around the forest because for some uncanny reason the voice gave me shivers-good shivers- and a sense of familiarity. Geez, Ekhanto, if you were gonna send me to your world in the middle of nowhere a little warning would have sufficed. Even the gnomes were a bit surprised at the sudden voice, their eyes surveying the surrounding in search for the initiator until it landed on one of the tree branches.

There sat an elegant looking cat. It's blue fur with darker blue stripes shining like silk under luminosity. Two canines popped out reaching its chin, just like a baby sabertooth, and big green eyes.

My mind was totally blank as I stared at it. It talked. The cat talked. Did I hear it right or is this a post reincarnation dream? Honestly, it's okay to say gnomes exist but now talking cats....

"Eh?" Was all that left me as I gaped at it. I felt uneasy for the reason of feeling like I've known it for the past years I had lived. It felt like he was something close to me, something precious, like an eternal companion. Strange but.....I felt like we shared something.....a bond maybe? It was like my heart was relieved to see him, tugging to go and take him in my arms.

"I mean it's because you are a girl." The male cat continued, moving downwards from the branch to the soft grass. His eyes then travelled down, and he cocked his head to the side." Obviously?"

Obviously?

I mean...pfttt..... A girl?...wait he... looking down at my chest area...girls have....

Oh no.

My heart sped up, and cold sweat ran down my forehead. He was looking down at my chest.....he was.....I was.....did the.....eh?...

I took in a deep breath and willed my self to gain some balance. My mind was screaming at me not to look down, but it was my body, I had to eventually and I mean....I'm curious -

Curiousity killed the cat!!! A nagging voice screamed in my head

But it brought satisfaction, I told it

You'll regret it if you look down!!!!!! It screamed again.

I'll regret it if I don't.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo

Swallowing up my fear, I finally dropped my gaze downwards, pulling the hoodie down so it would show the outline of my chest.....and what did I see?...

Round...very very very round and perfect sized.....

Breast.

Oh fuck me.

I groaned in silent terror as my head became light headed and I dropped to the ground passing out immediately.

<-------------------------<<

Grak in grak.....

Words for words.....

Listen...... listen.... listen

Tell me my story.... story.... story

Obey my commands.... commands..... commands

I groaned as I woke up to those echoing words. My eyes opened up slowly and the first obstacle in my sight was the blue cat, sitting up with its back to me, staring ahead into the forest as he chanted those words

"Darker than black, thicker than blood, therefore I call into the deep to answer my wish." He said in a steady monotone, his body still immobile on the spot." Give me the field of force, eat up my flesh, be my skin as you cover me from peril and monstrosities. Grant me power, for I am humbly unnamed!"

Suddenly, a low esteemed glow of light encased my entire body. It shone lowly and warmly, feeling a bit warmer than before and as if trapped in my own skin. It wasn't uncomfortable though, it was rather.....safe. It was incredible. Groaning, I sat up staring at the fading light now, on my hands only to be hit hard with a migraine to the side of my head.

"Curses" I grumbled palming the spot and sitting up to lean on the large tree trunk.

"Take it easy, you really did a number on yourself when you fell." The cats voice said to me, he was now sitting facing me, with an actual worried expression. And at the sight of that I couldn't help but feel relieved that he was actually worried about me. I even fought the happy smile that tried ever so stubbornly to make it's way to my lips.

"No shit." I murmured with a heavy sigh rubbing my temple with my slender fingers." What....cough- what was that thing you just did." I asked looking at him in question.

"Pardon?" He asked cocking his head to the side, green eyes reflecting under the golden light of the sun beginning to set. He was so adorable, I just wanted to reach out rub my fingers callously on those puffy furry cheeks and stroke his ear.....don't judge me, any normal human being would want to.

"The.... you know, glow light right now, a-and the c-chanting." I asked moving my hand around my body in a circular motion, remembering the low light also enveloped the cats small body.

"Oh." He pipes up, mouth widening to form a very Cheshire grin. All pointy teeth on display, his long canines making him look daring, beautiful and dangerous all at once." It's just a little traditional magic of protection. I couldn't do much to make a stronger one with my magical affinity being low. The protection spell will last for an hour or less, it is not strong enough to protect us from high level monsters in this forest so we best try to avoid any on our way out."

"Don't worry," He added quickly as if he felt my immediate silent terror at the hearing of 'monsters'." There are monsters west. Plus we are almost at the outskirts of this forest were then sun shines bright. Eion forest monsters despise the sun, so we should be safe as long as we don't go deeper north where they dwell."

"Oh....okay." I replied, letting out a relieved breath I seemed to have been holding. It stuck up in my nostrils like thick mucus. I took in another deep breath surveying my surroundings only to be met with acres and acres of forest. Nothing even interesting caught my eyes. I frowned remembering the absence of the presence of two very different gnomes. However, they were nowhere to be seen." Um... where are those gnomes?"

"Who, Seven and Eight? They went east to collect some herbal mushroom for a rare medicinal soup. Should be back in a bit." The cat answered easily staring east with ease.

" Seven and Eight? Those are their names?" I asked incredulously staring shocked at the cerulean blue cat.

"Hmmm..." He answered, head doing a 90 degree turn like an owl before facing me......ew." Gnomes lives in pods underground and in trees. They don't have the luxury to be named by the elders that look over them, so numbers seems sufficient enough for identification."

"Geez, that's just horrible." I mused bending my knees upwards and wrapping my arms around them. I mean, on earth to be called Seven would be cool and hot especially for a guy. I've never come across someone named eight though. But it would be on a whole different level if someone was being called a number just because we're too lazy to actually name them properly. People weren't lab rats. I could change that." Well, if they don't have one, then I'll give them one. No way, I'm gonna call them numbers. That's barbaric without the bloodshed."

The blue cat looked at me in doubtful surprise." You do know that...to give a person a name is like giving them a newfound honour. It's like giving them a new life and path."

I shrugged nonchalantly." Well then if that's the case, then I'll give them that luxury. I could care less what people think. A person's name is the one possession that can never be taken away from the owner. Everyone deserves that luxury, murderer or not, creature or not, human or not "

The blue cat let out a satisfactory chuckle shaking its head. I looked at it, curiously as to why the laugh." Now I can see why Ekhanto chose you to save this place from itself and it's inhabitants. The goodness and purity in you.....hmmm, delicious."

I swear my heart skipped two beats. I sat there too shaken to move or swallow. It was like there was lump forming upon the lump that had accumulated already. He knew about Ekhanto? He knew about me being reincarnated? He can't know, he can't have that kind of knowledge. He was just a cat.

Yeah, a talking cat with adequate average magic.

"What?" The cat snickered tilting his head in amusement, his voice cutting off my train of thoughts." Cat got your tongue?"

Real snidely comment, I internally scoffed." Huh....oh...no you...I...I'm.... Ekh-.....the.....eh?"

A bellowing laughter left the small cat. For a cute sabertooth feline cub, his voice did sound too mature." If your question is what I think you have in mind then yes, I know you were reincarnated and I know all about you... Kylexsis River Dakota."

"H-how and w-why?"

"I was sure it was obvious." He said, narrowing his eyes."I am the 'companion' the goddess sent to guide you through your journey."

"Huh?" I muttered dumbly, pausing, the atmosphere of uncertainty and dear flushing away by a strong feeling of doubt. I scrutinized this cat form from head to paw, contemplating whether the migraine in my head was causing me to hear strange words. He wasn't serious, was he? I mean a cat. A freaking cat!!" A cat.....are you freaking kidding me, Ekhanto gave me a cat?"

My outburst seemed to displease him because a frown found its way on it adorable face." And what's wrong with that?"

"Everything!" I retorted." I mean no offense but you're kinda small and very feeble looking. When Ekhanto said companion I had thought of the handsome knight in shining armour who would swoop me off my feet and protect me from dangers, teach me some martial arts you know, yada-yada. Or a beautiful woman who would be a motherly figure to me, train me to be smart and vigilant, and stuff."

"You are very delusional." The cat deadpanned dryly.

I snorted." You're one to talk. You're just a cat, dude, you can do little before your body breaks. I'm not heartless and I don't want that. I mean I thought my companion would be the one to help me in danger not the other way around."

"I was sent to help you. And I will help you when you activate your abilities." The cat said angrily, a small sneer in this face.

Awwww, kawaī!!!!!!!!

I looked at the cat dubiously." Don't make me laugh, man, but whatever I'll just ask Ekhanto to replace you right?" I smiled as I drew out the necklace and pendant that Ekhanto had gifted me. Oh, bless her soul.

"Wait!" The cat snapped abruptly, pouncing on me and putting both paws on the necklace." Please don't."

I paused immediately. His plead sounded so....

Hell I was falling for it. He wasn't even using those cat eyes that contained irresistible cuteness, or a threat, he was sincerely begging me not to contact Ekhanto. And for some reason I felt what I think he was feeling. A total confliction of pain, loss, loneliness and sadness swirled deep within. And for a very, very long moment...

I didn't want to let him go.

"What is this?" I demanded quietly staring into those green orbs that looked exactly just like mine." What the hell is going on?"

Lifeless.

"I-im sorry, i- ...." He huffed and let go, pulling away to settle himself on my lap. He curled into a sad ball." If you do that it's just....before I had no purpose. I was casted down from heaven, hated by all, despised by all, my family wasn't my family anymore. Casted away like a sack of rotten fruits, I was hopeless, homeless, trialed to exile...but Ekhanto took me in. Nurtured me, stayed with me.....and now she had sent me here to assist you in anyway. It was a quest to save her world and myself. To give me back my hope and honour. I don't want to disappoint her, I don't want to disappoint myself. I want to be here to help, if I don't.... Ekhanto can't even save me when I get back. I don't know what will become of me."

His words.....

Those words....

His words were so sad to comprehend being just, just. I could hear it, I could feel it and I pitied him too badly. And I didn't know why but I wanted to end it all and bring about that big adorable smile of his back to his face. For some uncanny reason it hurts me to see him this distraught and downcast. I wanted it to stop. I want him to smile.

"I.....I understand you. I understand you too well...but I don't know why. I must be crazy to feel this stuff." I said with a scoff, giving in to the temptation of stroking his cheeks, he nuzzled his cheeks against my fingers making my heart flutter.

Kawaī!!!!!!!!

"Feel what stuff?" He murmured, purring softly at my touch.

I smiled at this action. A satisfactory smile curving on my lips at his cute reaction to my touch." Your emotions.....is that a thing with the blue cats here? Or is it just my only imagination? Maybe I am going crazy."

The cat turned, so it was laying on its back his whole body facing me. His green eyes staring softly up at me, blinking lazily at me." No, no you're not going crazy, trust me, if it's anything you are in your right mind to be feeling things like that. I can also sense it."

I perked a brow in confusion." Sense it? Is that some friendly reassuring sentence to make me feel better?"

"You flatter me, Kylexsis. I can truly sense your inner emotions as I can read your inner thoughts. Every two Half's of one can."

I blinked. I blinked again, my mind completely blank. It was as if the more he tried to explain in his words the more dumbfounded I became. Plus, the headache kept me from using my full potential to think clearly. His eyes weren't telling me anything either and my head was accompanied with a new ache every time I pushed my limit to think more."I'm sorry , my mind Is completely blank, I feel like you are trying to get me to understand something but I can't."

The cat groaned, in annoyance, sitting up on my lap and staring at me incredulously. I don't blame him, but I don't blame myself either. Surely, he didn't expect me to understand every single concept just because I happened to be a fan fiction nerd. No, I couldn't, not with this migraine and rushing awareness of being rebirth." I am your daemon, Kylexsis."

"My, my Daemon?"

"Yes, your daemon, it can also be known as a familia. And I'm pretty sure you know what a familia is, right?" I nodded my answer." I can feel you, like you feel me. We are two half's of one, we are connected and bonded for eternity. Ekhanto made it that way so that we would never be separated and we would trust each other completely....so ......I know I'm probably saying this a bit too soon....but..." He looked down shyly, voice trailing to nothing. I waited for him, having a feeling that his little speech hasn't ended yet." I'm kind of like your family....your only family right now who you could put your trust in, and who can truly understand you."

I rose both my brows and sighed and leaned my head on the trunk of the tree, closing my eyes. I took in a soft breath to calm my nerves and the raving thought swimming through my mind. There were so many things to rule out. Ekhanto's mission, my mission, my life here on this place, this cat familia, my story to tell the people I end up meeting, the allies to make, where I was going to go now, how I was going to survive, how I was going to find food at this moment, and like who even is the villain?

"Okay, let me get this straight, little guy " I finally said after a while of thinking in silence. The cat perked up to listen to me, furry blue ears up and erect in attention." So you are the companion that Ekhanto had sent at which she made you into my familia- oh wait, Daemon, for eternity, eh?"

He nodded slowly.

"And you being my daemon makes us inseparable . Makes us one and two permanent half of one family. We are bonded and connected."

" Through heart, soul, mind and Magic." His expression and tone solemn as he nodded firmly.

"Ekhanto sent you here in other to guide me through the dangerous journey I'm about to embark on......even though your appearance seems too..... little to fight off a monster." I mused, tilting my head to further study the small cat knowingly to get the message across and I was surprised by the thick feeling of sadness and disappointment that crossed his eyes and etched deep inside of him. I immediately felt bad.

"I know I'm small right now, and probably weak but I can promise you that I will grow stronger as we progress. It's just a matter of time I ...I promise." He sighed looking down again at a small beetle running through the short green grass." I will because I don't want to fail Ekhanto, or myself......or you. I want to be useful.....so if you would just take me I'll be grateful."

I smiled, heart fluttering at those small heartfelt words. In truth he was indeed small and weak but he seemed determined to complete the quest. Ekhanto chose me, a gay good for nothing junk, to save her creation. She put her trust in me, believed in me and knew that I was destined to bring back the peace that had longed reigned. And if she was right about me, then it would be no different from this blue cat in front of me. Who knew, though. He was my familia, my Daemon, meaning our abilities did not quite differ so much. If I probably trained and grew stronger, then he surely would. Ekhanto must have had a reason she picked this cat just like she picked me, and if she did, I should work with him and see how this ends up.

I looked down at the cat who refused to meet my gaze. The shame and dejection oozing out of him like putrid black smoke. It made me feel nauseous and I wanted it gone instantly. If my words did this to him, them I really was a dick and must apologize.

"Listen, little guy," I sighed weakly." I'm sorry for the crappy first impression. I should not have been been too quick to assume that you were weak and a good for nothing and an animal and a possible hindrance to the mission. I mean you've only been here for a while and you can already use magic, whereas me I haven't even accepted the fact that I am now a girl." Funny and terrifying fact, I have been avoiding my thoughts from straying to that side of the problems I had to rule out. I was a guy back in my world and I and no problem with my gender but now here I am, a girl, being gay the thoughts of breasts were terrifying and now guess what? I don't just have breasts but a vagina too." Ekhanto chose me for this mission, she said she saw something in me that was destined for the greater good, and if she chose you as my companion then I think she saw something in you too. And I trust her judgement. Plus, I was kind of kicked out of my own home because of my sexuality and casted out like a freak, an extra.....a plague, with no-one there for me till I met Clarke. You were casted out too and had no one till Ekhanto came along, right?"

"So apart from this familia bond keeping us as one, I think we are very much alike. Losing our home only to be taken in by someone who showered us with nothing but love and affection

I'm supposed to be showering you with love and affection and yet I treated you like garbage. And for that I am truly sorry."

"Kylexsis-"

"No, let me finish." I rose a hand to stop him from speaking further." Maybe, just maybe Ekhanto knew that because of our history you needed more than her and I needed more than Clarke. Maybe she noticed that and thought if we met and became a familiar we would overlook the past and move on....and be happy."

"You....." The cat paused, eyes squirting and narrowing towards mine as if to search for answers in the midst of my orbs." Where is all this coming from?"

"I have no Idea, trust me" I tittered, itching my nape before going on." Look, my point is I am going to accept you-"

"You will?" The cat exclaimed, eyes bright, mouth curved in a toothy grin and ears that looped perked up. The atmosphere of dejection and sadness washing away with a sense of relief.

"Yeah, I will. Crazy fact, I feel much more better than a few minutes ago."I smiled patting his head affectionately." We are both starting out together, so we will try to kindle this relationship and see where it gets us in time. We are bonded but we've just met and we would have to completely trust one another despite the connection we have. So untill we work up to that stage, as of now we are close friends, for starters. Plus, I think waisting one of my four chance to contact Ekhanto for something like this could get me a large knock on the head."

"Well I can't argue with that." The cat chuckled.

That was when on of the elephant in the room, popped into my mind." Say," I began looking into his eyes, and unconsciously reaching out to stroke his back, the gesture didn't even seem the least evasive." What about my background story, I mean I can't just tell any one I meet that , hey my name is Kylexsis, I'm from a dimensional world called earth, I died by provoking my murder and was given a chance at reincarnation by the goddess Ekhanto who also sent me here to help develop this world and save you all from God knows what, can I now?"

"Hmm, that would be pretty absurd yeah." The cat snickered earning himself a raised brow from me." Don't worry about that, Ekhanto had planned it out with me. We made up a background story for you, but however your main story will be you lost your memory and woke up in Eion forest and could only remember bits and pieces of your memories."

"And what those bits and pieces?"

"Bring your forehead closer to mine and I shall show you." He ordered softly, inching closer towards my face. Without hesitation, I moved closer till our temples where close to touching. I stared into his green eyes and he stared back into mine. His pupils then suddenly dilated and a faint crackling came from his forehead. My eyes travelled up to see a tiny spark of white light trying to come to life.

I was about to ask about that but the light shot out from his forehead and struck mine.

I jerked back gripping my head with both my hands, tightly. It hurt, it freaking hurt. My head felt like it was splitting and reforming as dozens of images flashed into my mind all in one go. It was like I was watching a movie being fast forwarded.

The flashes of memories that I never remembered making flashed into my mind. The picture and outline evident enough as if to make sure it stuck into my brain.

Grey skies flashed through the memories, along with the rapid cloud rolling north. The sun was no where to be seen but somehow everywhere was bright but dull and grey. A foot I sensed as mine, clad in black boots, took a step forward only to be treading on darkened ash and blackened bones of rotten carcasses.

The scenery suddenly changed with a flash. Before my eyes were dark grey clouds pouring heavy rain in the muddy earth. Red lightening slashed dangerously across the sky giving a warning to whichever soul that dared to cross. The ground was muddy with portholes of muddy rainwater but ahead grew bright lavender grasses that caught the diamond rain and held it on their leaves. The rain poured and poured on endlessly, blurring the sight of a monster that I caught sight of, lurking not too far away from me. I could feel it the hostility from this distance, my instinct perking up as I reached for the dagger in my thigh holister. The rain had blurred the full appearance but I could make out an outline of its shape. It looked large and reptilian with only two forelimbs. The long prehensile serpentine tail made up for the absence of the hindlimbs. From afar the head resembled that of a tylosaurus with a prominent bony spike protruding out of its elbows.

It saw me. It must have sensed my presence or picked up my scent because it lunged for an attack. Closer now I could make up a clear view of the repulsive creature. The head, torso and several aspects of the body was skeletal, it's body long and slender yet muscular, moving in an 's' pattern like a snake crawling with sped to strike its prey. The eye sockets were empty, but as I stared deep inside the repulsive green orbs with elongated pupils blinked menacingly at me. And then it attacked, putrid breath of rotten flesh and excrement slipped into my nostrils as I battled ferociously against it, and ending it's life with single slash of white hot light. It was all in a blur and before I could comprehend how exactly the battle went about my vision flashed and the scenery changed again.

An imagery of a beautiful magical forest came to view. Keyword: magical, and simply out of the world. None that I had ever seen or dreamt of seeing. And even if I could dream of seeing such beauty, my mind couldn't make up such a sight.

The grasses were a colorful hue of bright green and cerulean blue that glistened under the warm touch of the golden sunlight. The trees were fat, thick, healthy and colossally tall with the same bright cerulean blue leaves that casted a warm blue glow over the forest floor. My feet crunched underneath the tiny pebbles and stones of pretty colours. However, as I went on deeper, the magical forest seemed to look dead far ahead. The trees were half dead and leaves dark and autumn. The grasses were a swirling hue of yellow, autumn and dying black. A thick fog rolled in with an eerie silence and atmosphere.

But on I went, with no destination, the forest getting darker and denser. The trees black and leafs dead and shrunk underneath the ash that turned the land barren. The light had disappeared leaving a dark glow to its surroundings, and the scary eyes of the inhabitants of the forest awoke to my presence.

Still, I was free of fear, free of worries, tearing my way through the tangled twisted branches of the trees that created a web around the forest, like a shield. A shield to keep one away from the goal. The goal to get the answer to what everyone in this world dreaded to obtain. But there it was, in my sight. The small but magical waterfall protected by the surrounding forest. And there she was, in the middle of the waterfall sitting on one of the rocks that pocked out of the water surface.

Her nude porcelain skin glistened under the sunlight and the water splashed on her skin adding more sheen to the beauty. Her platinum blonde hair clung to her heart-shaped face and smooth back. Shining under the luminosity of the light, her eyes met mine. Black eyes staring at mine, a little bit confused at first, then curious, then surprised, then happy, then impressed, then satisfied. She stretched out her hand as she raised her chin proudly at me, an object materialising into her hands.

"Sona Virgo. The future is in your hands."
