"Get up Kate!" Athena shouted from across the courtyard, "Get on your feet and fight me!" Kate stayed on her back where Athena had planted her trying to catch her breath. Finally, she struggled to her feet and glared at the goddess across from her, and gripped her staff tightly.
"This is crap Athena," she shouted back, "I am a mortal and you are a god, how am I supposed to fight you?" she was so frustrated she had spent most of their time training laying on her back cursing her.
"And who do you think it is that's been attacking you?" Athena asked twirling her staff and took a few menacing steps toward her, "Do you think Ares or Hera is going to care you are a mortal? What about Deimos?" The mention of that disgusting god's name made Kate's skin crawl, she had thought he was only after her for his father but after he mentioned taking her for himself even the mention of his name made her stomach crawl.
