See the nerve of that man, he sees me as a doll with whom he can do anything he wish to and take me anywhere without even informing me".
Janette was fuming from anger after the mini fight with Asher. There were so many things going on in her head that rubbed salt on her wounds.
First, she just doesn't have any idea why she was forced into the marriage of convenience. Second, her whole life was a big lie, her dreams were now far from being fulfilled. Third, her life partner is good for nothing, she doesn't even have a cell phone to talk to Erie and share her whereabouts with her best friend Anastasia she must have been worried sick about her. She found hot tears streaming down her face as she made her way towards the library which Mart showed her Yesterday.
Books always were her escape from the world, whenever her mother used to scold her, or when her day at the school was rough, her books were her motivation.
There were many books present there from historical fiction to business, like most of the girls of her age she too preferred Romance over any other genre, but the owner of this mansion was a man, so she wasn't able to discover what she desired, so she chooses to find a digital map of the library to find the book, she was sure there'd be one because almost everything in this house is digital it is impossible not to find a digital map in the most important room of this mansion. And was successful in doing so.
She found a book with a dark pink jacket, she dusted off the dust because the book was left untouched for years but instead of reading the title, she found something more interesting there were exactly four to five old photos present their first one was there was a couple with a baby boy in the man's hand.
" His features appeared similar to that of Asher.", she grasps speculating the man his father and the woman must be his mother he has got his beautiful blue orbs from his mother and pointed nose from his father, then the baby must be Asher.
"He looks cute and innocent, not arrogant like he's now." but the most important question is "What these photos are doing here?"
She looked at another photograph it was his mother and very familiar women sitting together smiling, she felt like that she'd seen that women somewhere then she remembered the picture locket that Eric gifted her on her wedding, she opened it and matched that photo with previous one.
"According to Eric, this woman is our mother but what is her relation with Asher's mom." Janette wondered and sighed.
"Why? Why? my life is so confusing ?", she was now crying her heart out.
"I need to know, what my real life was before meeting my Forester family"
"This must be her mother's books", she speculated and kept them back hearing someone entering instead and stood in front of the window peeping out in the lawn, feeling the cool breeze entering in she closed her eyes feeling the air lingering over her face. Crying all of her dilemmas and anxieties out.
....
Meanwhile, Asher was confused about what did he said the saddened Janette and he had no intention of following her because he wanted to see her suffering, but still, there was some humanity left in his heart that was forcing him to ask apologies from her, he shut his PC and let out a groan.
"What did I have gotten myself into?" he stood up and texted Mart to get him a cup of coffee and made his way towards the library. It was his favourite part of the house because it was designed by his mother.
As he entered the library, he felt a presence there because of a familiar scent, it must be Janette, he instantly felt furious "She has no right to stand in his mother's library." he fisted his hand in a ball and clenched his teeth making his way towards her but halted witnessing the scene in front of him.
She looked breathtaking, her hair was dancing because of the breeze that was entering in, it has been years since that window was unrolled moreover, this room was the favourite part of this room for his mother and her best friend Jenna, they both chatted there for hours, it felt like yesterday.
He misses his mother a lot.
Although he was here to throw her out of this room he felt like someone has stab in his heart as he heard her sobs, she was crying because of him.
"My mother also taught me, never hurt anyone." the voice in his heart reminded him, he extended his hand to keep it on her shoulder but withdrew it because something was stopping him from inside and he left the room getting unnoticed by her.
