Arthur was no good man; he was a villain, a scoundrel. Sophia thought to herself, even though her memories and thoughts remained clouded.
Sir Arthur shook his head in utter disbelief, unable to fathom the presence of Sophia. The woman had been reduced to near-unrecognizable in the prison, her body a shattered, comatose wreck.
Now, though still in a sorry state, she at least stood on her own two feet, and this astonished him.
Arthur observed the group of healers, convinced that they were the ones responsible for healing Sophia and orchestrating her escape from the prison.
"How did you all manage to get in here?" Arthur asked, his curiosity tinged with suspicion.
Arthur's words dripped with mockery as he continued, "You had been in a state of near-catastrophe when I last saw you. Your body was a pitiful sight, battered and broken, while your consciousness lingered on the precipice of a coma-like abyss."ย
