Chapter 21 - Class

James gave his wife a pat on the shoulder, "Don't be so anxious. We still have a few weeks and we need to make sure we have everyone's agreement when we make the shopping list."

With a sigh Sarah nodded, "Okay."

After that the family ate their breakfast, all of them thinking to themselves, 'I hope we will be able to still eat like this when the world ends.'

The morning moved on their parents went to work and the siblings went to school.

As they were walking Johnathan decided to ask the the twins, "Would it be alright to talk about this to our friends? I have a few people that would be great to have for some problems."

Claire looked at her brother's face that's set in a serious scowl with the glimmer of pleading in his eyes.

"I think if you trust them of course you should tell them, but only if you know that they will trust you as well." Claire pulls her elder brothers sleeve, "We can take them with us too. With the exception of if they posses any intention of harming us they will be cut out."

Johnathan gave Claire a hug, "Mmm, I'll do as you say."

When he got the go ahead, he started thinking about who to trust. As he had the videos he could show that as proof.

With no other events they siblings arrive at school. Claire and Sam separated from their brothers as they went to class.

"Sam do you think we should tell 'them' after class?"

"I say yes with what you told elder brother, but what's your opinion on those three?"

"...I think Levi and Sunny would be trustworthy but Ken is a no go."

Sam gave a nod, "That's what I was thinking as well. Ken has a terrible personality and he is quite unreliable coward when something serious comes up."

Sam continued, "The other two have skills that could help us in the long run. Levi is an expert at hiking and camping. Any time we end up having to travel in the forest area of the country house we can ask him. Sunny on the other had knows alot about animals. She would be a help at raising livestock."

"I couldn't have said it better. Let's talk with them when we get a chance. While we're at it we should talk with the nurse Ms. May."

As the twins were talking the other students were walking in the class as the bell rang for class to start.

Annie just do happened to be the last one to enter the classroom followed by the teacher.

After roll call class started, Annie's set is a few rows across and she kept seeking glances to them.

In hopes to get their attention she think wrote a note which was passed until it made it to Claire's set.

Before the note was even passed to Claire it just so happened that the teacher turned around catching them.

"Would you care to share what was written on the note or do you want to stand in the hall"

The student next to Claire said, "The note is for Claire and I wasn't the one who made the note."

That student didn't want to get in trouble so h3 pushed all the blame to Claire as the note was for her.

Claire saw the process of how the note was passed and who made the note. Annie definitely wrote the note on purpose to get me in trouble again.

There's probably nothing important written down on that note anyway.

"That note isn't mine. I think someone wanted to tell me something but I wish they would of waited until after class." Claire looks at the teacher and explains, "I will apologize in their place. So I hope whoever made that note will apologize to me as well."

The teacher already took the note that was passed, "Alright I will just give you a warning. If there's another incident you will be going to the hall. I will also be confiscating this note. You can get it from me after class."

Claire didn't care what was written, "Teacher you can go ahead and throw it away. If they want to tell me something they can wait until after class. Again, I am sorry for whoever writting that note and disrupting class in the process."

After Claire said that class continued on. The remaining time the teacher was writing down problems that could be in the final exams for the year.

Claire couldn't help but think on the matter. Even if we do good on the test it won't help us in the short-term as the world's going to end.

Maybe we should actually purchase some books before the end as they will be helpful on information pertaining to survival and industrial growth.

Claire just continued thinking on the matter of what to buy for the house so they could be self-sustaining.

Finally the bell rang signaling the end of class.
