"Alessia, love, mommy's home!" She called. "I know you must be starving, come here dear, don't be mad. Mommy had an unexpected emergency." No sound came from the den as she entered. Her beautiful daughter didn't come bounding up to her as she usually did. It was dead silent. She sniffed the air and moved deeper into the den, searching frantically. The only scents she could pick up were hers and her daughter's. No one had been here. So where was Alessia?! She sniffed near the entrance. Her daughter's scent was much stronger here. But it was still fading fast. She must have gotten lonely or curious or decided to try to find me. She thought. She continued to sniff. Trying to follow the sent where it went. It led in all different directions as if she had been bouncing all over the place. Which seemed like something Alessia would do but it didn't help her search at all. It was getting dark and poor Alessia would be terrified. She needed to find her before anyone or anything else did. It was not safe for such a young pup all alone in the dark woods at night. Especially with the LouPirque pack crossing territories as if it meant nothing. She couldn't find poor Alessia all alone in the dark herself, it would take too long. As much as she hated to do it. She howled into the becoming night for Daniel. The only one who would be able to help her and the only one allowed to know of her pup's existence.
