Daniel felt like an idiot. He had only wanted to comfort her as he would do if they were still together. He had forgotten for a minute that he wasn't supposed to be showing her his feelings. He needed to keep his distance. But something kept drawing him closer to her each time he was in her presence. He had avoided her this long and yet now he needed nothing more. No wanted nothing more than to be her hero and meet his daughter even if that meant he had to save her life first. He hoped that she was alright and nothing horrible had happened. He was keeping his cool around saline but he really was freaking out on the inside just as much as she. He hoped that Wyatt hadn't gotten ahold of his daughter. He would use her as leverage if he ever found out the truth about who her kin was. He searched the forest to no avail each time. Soon he would be just headed back in the direction saline had gone. Perhaps she was having better luck than him. Or maybe she was just failing like him but didn't want to admit it or be near him anymore. He continued to sniff around a bit more before begrudgingly heading in the same direction as Saline.
