It was already afternoon before Jay came to Misty's room. Looking over to her he could see the soft light from the midday sun glinting off her tawney hair. She had tucked her legs onto the couch underneath her and was reading a familiar looking book. Seeing the name on the book, Jay realized that it was the beginner's book of magic Psymuk had given to her before the dedication ceremony.
Dazzled by the scene before him, Jay was struck by how beautiful his mate was. He bent his head to thank Tamult for sending her to save him. Padding softly into the room so as not to disturb her, he sat in a chair close by until she looked up.
At first, Misty was startled when she noticed Jay. She had been so engrossed in her book that she didn't even detect his entry. Smiling, she reached out to him. He stood, walking over to her to kiss her lightly on the lips. She shivered at the gentle caress.
