Kason pulled the communication stone from his pocket. The one Harinder had left this morning had been a pale lavender color, but this one had a reddish cast to it. He had explained that the stones needed mana from their owners to operate and usually took on the same color as the user's mana. Jay's had turned blue due to his water mana.
It took all he had not to use it to call Misty. The last two weeks with his mate had been amazing. She was a kind person and tender lover. She made sure that she spent time with both him and Jay separately. Even though she now had two additional mates, Kason felt that she would continue to treat them all with care and affection.
