"Are you sure we should be doing this, Hestia?"
A galaxy eyed boy asked as he held up a scarlet haired girl to a window. Hestia giggled, her eyes shining with excitement as she looked out the window. "Of course we should, Atlas! It's going to be so much fun!"
Atlas couldn't help but smile at his friend's enthusiasm, though he still felt a hint of nervousness. "But what if we get caught? Your parents are very strict about venturing outside the palace grounds."
"Don't worry, I've done this plenty of times before," Hestia reassured him. "And besides, I'm the eldest daughter of the king. I think I can handle a little adventure."
With a mischievous glint in her eyes, Hestia wiggled out of Atlas's hold and landed gracefully on the floor. She tiptoed over to the door and peeked outside to make sure the coast was clear. Satisfied that no one was around, she motioned for Atlas to follow her.
Quietly, they slipped out of the room and made their way through the grand palace, avoiding the watchful eyes of the servants. Hestia led the way with a sense of purpose, her scarlet hair flowing behind her like a fiery trail.
"Where are we going?" Atlas whispered, trying to keep up with her quick pace.
"We're going to the mortal town. I don't remember its name." Hestia replied with a grin. "I want to see how the humans are doing and maybe even help them, just like Astraia does."
Atlas nodded, his galaxy eyes shimmering with curiosity. He trusted Hestia's judgment, knowing that she always had a kind heart and a desire to help others.
"Alright fine, let's go and quickly come back."
The two friends continued their journey through the palace grounds, navigating through hidden passages and avoiding the gaze of any servants they might encounter. The thrill of the adventure and the thought of seeing the mortal town excited them both, but Atlas couldn't shake off the lingering feeling of worry about getting caught.
As they neared the palace gates, Hestia motioned for Atlas to stay close to the shadows. She peered outside, making sure the coast was clear before they climbed over a low wall and found themselves in the mortal town. The town was bustling with activity, and the air was filled with the scent of fresh bread and flowers. Hestia's eyes sparkled with wonder as she observed the mortals going about their daily lives.
"Look, Atlas! Do you see all those little hearths in their homes? Each one represents a family, and my dad says it's my duty to protect and bless their fires. I don't really understand what he means, but he said one day I will."
As they continued their journey, Hestia and Atlas encountered a group of children playing in a nearby park. The children laughed and ran around, their innocence and joy filling the air.
Hestia's heart swelled with the desire to play with them. "Oh, that looks so fun. Let's join them, Atlas!"
With that, she rushed towards the children, and Atlas couldn't help but follow her lead. They played games, spun in circles, and she even conjured up a few small flames having a bunch of fun. The kids were delighted, unaffected that they were in the company of divine beings.
As the sun began to set, Hestia and Atlas knew it was time to return to the palace. They had experienced a day of adventure, spreading warmth and joy wherever they went.
Back in Hestia's room, they collapsed on her soft bed, both exhausted and exhilarated from their escapades.
"That was amazing, Hestia," Atlas said with a contented smile. "Thank you for taking me on this adventure."
Hestia smiled back at him, her eyes glowing with happiness. "Thank you for coming with me, Atlas. It's always more fun when we're together."
As they drifted off to sleep, the relationship between Hestia and Atlas grew even stronger.
