Synopsis
In a world that has been transformed into a game system, thanks to a man's discovery of a genie lamp. The man's three wishes were to have the world be just like a game, for him to instantly be max level, and for all genies to die. The world is now divided into different castes based on people's levels, and the protagonist is a lowly level one who resents the game system. One day, the protagonist sees the strongest man in the world, and the world glitches around him like he's starting to break through the game system itself. This inspires the protagonist to believe that maybe there's a way to destroy the game system and create a better world. He sets out on a quest to become stronger and challenge the game system, even as society looks down on him for being level one. Along the way, the protagonist meets other characters who are also unhappy with the game system and want to see change. They band together to fight against the system and work towards creating a fairer world for everyone, regardless of their level.

This thing is always in my face. It never stops being there. Telling me all my stats. No thanks. I already have the real world to tell me, I suck. No need for a goddamn pop-up window right in my face telling me how much weak I am.

I'm in school right now, I don't need to see my stats. I just want to focus on the class. If I get good grades maybe I'll be able to get a better job.

- Leon are you even listening to class?

That's Mr. Jaxon, he's probably the best teacher in the school. He even teaches us the level less. That's what people call the ones like me who still haven't gained a level. But even, if Mr. Jaxon isn't like us, he still believes in teaching us. He's the reason I want to get good grades and then a good job. To show him that his efforts are not useless. That level less people can make something out of there lives.

Even if I haven't gained a level since the Nexus Genesis. I will still make something out of myself. I know it. I'll make my parents proud.

You might be confused about what the Nexus Genesis is. Let me explain it to you.

I remember when I was 5 years old, hanging out with my parents. Feeling like the world was the best thing. Then one day, the world we live in just started to be exactly like an MMORPG.

Everybody started at level 1, but only a minority of the population gained a level. The rest stayed level less. Without any magical power, we have no power. We are treated worse than the dirtiest dirt on a dirt road. Like our lives mean nothing.

Even, my best friend never talks to me anymore. Since he is now level 2. Just gaining one level, is enough to make you part of an entirely different caste of society.

The simple, answer would be to gain levels. It's not that simple. To gain a level, you need to fight the monsters that are outside of the city. Countless people die attempting to gain one measly level. My friend gained a level but lost an eye. In my view, it's not worth the hassle to gain a level. I just wish the world could go back to the way it was before the nexus genesis.

- Can I go to the bathroom, sir? I asked.

Mr. Jaxon let me leave class to go to the bathroom. I just needed to refocus. I have no idea what is happening to me today but it really does feel like something is off. Like the air around me feels heavier or something like that. I can't even listen to the class. I only see my status window like it's trying to talk to me or something like that.

After throwing some water in my face, I feel ready to go back to class.

- Ew, it's disgusting. Get out of the hall, you dumb level one. Before I get super angry.

Just going to the bathroom, gets me yelled at in school. I hate, the world we live in right now. Every single thing is worse. In the beginning, I had my friend. I at least had that. But now, I have no one to hang out with.

Yes, I'm not the only level 1. I could have another level 1 friend but it's not like I was popular, to begin with. I was always more of a loner. I only had one friend. Now, I just go to school. Tune out those bullies and go back to my family. Eat a little. Then do it again tomorrow.

That's my routine. God dammit. The game system even registers my thoughts. I was just normally thinking but it's actually writing it, like a notebook. I guess, I can work around it. Make my thoughts work like a book of some sort. That would make it cool. At least, there is some utility to the system. I can read the thoughts I had like they are a book.

But why did it start today? It never did write things in my mind before. Did I never see it before? No that can't be the case. I have a bad feeling about this.

THE DAY IS OVER GO HOME.

Did the system actually, order me to go home? But the school day isn't over yet. I looked in the class. Nobody was there. I looked at the clock. Whattttt??? The school has been over for 1 hour? What, how did this happen? I only went to the bathroom for 5 minutes and the clock advanced by 3 hours.

Something is off. I have a bad feeling about this.

THE PLAYER NEEDS TO BE ON HIS WAY TO (REDACTED) …. GO NOW.

Now, this is getting creepy. Until today I have never, I say never seen a notification from the system. There's only the normal status window that is always in the left corner.

If the class has been over for 1 hour, my family is waiting for me. It's pizza night. I need to go home fast.

I've been running for about 15 minutes. I can't go on any longer. I need to stop to take a breather. I don't have enough stamina points to run for a long time.

I looked at where I stopped. In front of a hotel, there was a huge crowd.

Why is there a big crowd of people at the entrance of a hotel? There are even paparazzi. People yelling obscene things.

- Colossus, I want to have your children. Please look at me. Yelled a woman.

I remember now, Colossus the best player in the world was coming to town for a meeting with the mayor. I have no idea why; I don't care about stuff like that. When the Nexus genesis started, he was the first one to fight right away. He cleared every dungeon first. People think he is already level max.

People started to yell stronger. Some even fainted with excitement. I could not get myself to care about somebody that represents everything wrong with our society. The embodiment of the discrimination that I deal with. He exited the hotel and waved at everybody like a king would. My anger for him was so strong. I had never felt something like that. It was like the anger came from outside of me.

Something felt off about it. The space around him, looked like it was glitching. With some tearing issues. My statues window even started to blink. Like the system was failing. Nobody seemed to notice it. Just me. It's like he was cracking through the world.

It's like he was cracking through the world. Like the world wasn't strong enough to contain him. No wait, it was like he was harming the game system. Like his presence was. Like his presence is stronger than the system. Yet, no one seemed like they reacted to it. No one notices that oddity.

Does that mean, that if you level up enough you can become stronger than the system itself? If I would be level max, I could break away from the system and go back to how it was. I need to level up. I need to find out.

THE PLAYER HAS UNLOCKED THE MYTHICAL QUEST:

DESTROY THE SYSTEM

REWARD: DESTRUCTION OF THE SYSTEM

BONUS REWARD FOR BEING THE FIRST TO DISCOVER THE HIDDEN MYTHICAL QUEST:

NO REWARD HAS BEEN PLANNED FOR THE DISCOVERY. THE PLAYER GETS NOTHING.
