Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven :Bittersweet Goodbye

Fragile sunlight filtered through the hospital window, casting a warm glow over the room. Danisa's mother lay in bed, her eyes sunken and her skin pale. The machines surrounding her beeped and whirred, a constant reminder of her fragile state.

Danisa's heart ached as he gazed at his mother. He felt a deep sense of loss, as if he was already saying goodbye. The thought of her leaving for the care facility was almost too much to bear.

Suddenly, his mother's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled weakly at Danisa. "My dear boy," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'm so proud of you. You're strong and brave, and I know you'll take care of yourself and your siblings."

Danisa's eyes welled up with tears as he listened to his mother's words. He felt a surge of determination and resolve. He would take care of himself and his siblings, no matter what.

As the hospital staff prepared to transfer his mother to the care facility, Danisa felt a sense of trepidation. What would the future hold for his family? Would they ever be whole again?

The sound of footsteps echoed outside the room, and Danisa's aunt, Aunt Rose, appeared in the doorway. Her eyes were red-rimmed, and her face was etched with concern. "Danisa, it's time to say goodbye," she said gently.

Danisa's heart felt like it was shattering into a million pieces. He hugged his mother tightly, trying to memorize the feel of her arms around him. "I love you, Mom," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.

As he pulled back, Danisa's mother smiled weakly at him. "I love you too, my dear boy," she whispered. "Always remember that."
