Soft sunlight filtered through the park's trees, casting dappled shadows on the ground. Danisa's gaze remained fixed on the mysterious girl, who was now walking towards him with a confident stride.
As she approached, Danisa noticed the girl's eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Hi," she said, her voice melodious and friendly. "My name is Akua. I've seen you around school, but we've never really talked."
Danisa's cheeks flushed slightly as he stood up to greet Akua. "I'm Danisa," he replied, trying to sound casual despite his growing interest in this enigmatic girl.
Akua's eyes crinkled at the corners as she smiled. "It's nice to finally meet you, Danisa. What brings you to this park?"
Danisa shrugged, feeling a sense of ease with Akua that he hadn't experienced in a long time. "I just needed a break from the city noise, I guess. It's nice to find some peace and quiet here."
Akua nodded thoughtfully. "I know what you mean. Sometimes I come here to clear my head too. It's amazing how a little bit of nature can make you feel more grounded, isn't it?"
As they chatted, Danisa found himself opening up to Akua in ways he hadn't expected. She was easy to talk to, and her listening ear was a balm to his soul.
But just as things were starting to feel comfortable, Akua's expression turned serious. "Danisa, can I ask you something?" she said, her voice low and hesitant.
