After figuring out his stats, Zeke looked at the light blue orb wondering why it was dropped and what kind of reward was it.
With no luck trying to open the orb, he decided to smash the orb as he could not figure out any way of opening it.
"Let's test my luck." Zeke said as he smashed the orb. After smashing the orb a bat appeared on the bed. Zeke picked up the bat and he immediately noticed how light it was.
Zeke frowned and the next instance he used all his force and tried to smash the bat against his knee thinking it would break instantly.
Confused Zeke as to why the bat didn't break when it was extremely light and did not look like it was made from aluminum he tried smashing the bat against his dorm wall.
What happened next completely shocked Zeke and startled Sarah as she was still spacing out inspecting her stats and trying to find more information instantly making her jump.
As she looked over at Zeke she noticed him standing next to a hole in the wall with a bat in his hands.

"Seems like you got quite lucky, but it is hard to judge as this is the first thing we have received" Sarah said while inspecting the bat.
"It will help us survive a lot easier, especially after what we saw happen to that aluminum bat. That dog crushed it in an instant." Zeke replied while looking at one of his practice bats.
Bringing back old memories of him in high school hoping to make the show. That is when the realization hit him.
He is no longer a college student trying to become a pro baseball player. Sadly the world has changed and he needed to change quickly if he wanted to survive.
"I think we should start to make our way to the cafeteria so we can pick up some food since that will be the most important thing right now and hopefully we can find some other survivors. Also, I think the most important thing is to level up." Zeke suggested while looking at Sarah while she nodded.
While looking around his room for clothes and a few other things to pack before they left he finally noticed his best friend and roommate Jason against the wall with what seemed to be a bite mark on his forehand, before he could react Jason started to move slightly and slowly stand up.
His movements did not seem natural and Zeke could easily deduce what happened. Strengthening his grip around his bat he quickly smashed the bat against Jason's head. After killing his best friend Jason, Zeke fell to his knees.
Finally, all the emotions he was trying to hold back and push to the back of his head caught up with him and clouded his mind.
Zeke grew up in a loving family and always worked hard to achieve things he wanted in life and he was spoiled by his parents due to being the only child.
He didn't have many hardships growing up and he tackled everything with hard work, he was naturally very talented.
But when it came to the emotional side he lacked in this aspect due to his parents dying a couple of years ago. He closed himself off and after that Zeke threw himself into baseball.
Many people saw how good he was and just assumed his life was being played on what seemed to be easy mode so far but it couldn't be farther from the truth.
Zeke took a few moments to think about his family and wished he could see them again, but was also kind of relieved they didn't have to suffer in what seemed to be this new hell.
Zeke spent around 8 minutes recollecting himself while Sarah sat there awkwardly not wanting to intrude on the moment.
After collecting himself and regaining his thoughts he picked up a few things from his dorm. Then they worked their way toward the cafeteria to get food supplies while trying to find a few survivors and killing zombies on the way.
Almost a third of the way to the cafe they started to hear multiple screams.
"Help! help! please help us." Help please anyone help us."
Zeke and Sarah turned the corner of the buildings and saw a big group of 30 students surrounded by a large horde of zombies.
Zeke took a second to look at the situation before blindly rushing into the fray. After checking the situation and realizing they could clear out the group safely they began helping the large group take care of the zombies.
After taking care of the group of zombies Zeke noticed that two people in the group of thirty students got scratched by the zombies.
"Hey, you two." Zeke shouted while pointing at the two guys trying to blend into the crowd.
"Us?" One of the two asked while looking at Zeke like he was some kind of monster after he showed how quickly he killed through the horde of zombies.
"Yes look at your arms both of you are scratched and I won't let either of you follow me. I am sorry, but you should know what happens if you get bitten or scratched by a zombie."
After saying that the group around the two quickly separated from them to make sure they don't get infected either.
After that, the group followed behind Zeke and Sarah.
"The cafe should be right after this next block, but since we are coming from the west side we will have to go through the gym first to get to the cafeteria," Zeke said while leading and killing all the zombies he can on the way to his destination.
Once they made it to the gym they took a short break outside before heading in due to the mental fatigue they felt.
It has only been about two hours since the earthquake that started this apocalypse and due to leveling up both his and Sarah's stamina keeps getting reset.
Even though leveling up, they gained back their stamina, the mental stress of constantly fighting to survive played a huge part and could cause them to make minor mistakes.
Just a couple of hours ago they were all normal college students, but now they can die at any second if they don't keep their guard up and they are not at 100%.
Even then they can still die at any given second.
That is why both Zeke and Sarah realized they need to get stronger and it is better to start sooner than later.
Looking at the group of students and some teachers he thought 'The sooner they realize it as well the better off they will be.'
Zeke then looked at the levels he gained while making his way over to the gym.

After about 20 minutes of resting and eating a few snacks while talking to some other students to gather more information.
Zeke stood up and Sarah followed soon by the group that followed them along the way.
There were now close to 100 students and teachers following them. Zeke was the first to open the door and go inside while the others followed.
Once everyone stepped inside the west side of the gym the door closed behind them and everyone got a strange message that popped up in their eyes.
