"Are you Philippe?"
He was stunned; I hit right on the bullet. His eyes were anywhere but mine, and he was fidgeting with his hands. I just really wish that he would tell me even a little detail about these people, Philippe and Serafina. If he was Philippe when he was human and I was Serafina, we must not hide it from each other, as he is the only one who can help me, just as I am the only one who can help him get free from his punishment.
"Is this more important, though?" he answers as his long fingers dig into his black hair. "Shouldn't you check on your family first? I suspect your dad to be in Felix's office as that is his agency."
I nod. "You're right. Aren't you coming along?"
Vic shrugs his shoulders as he rests the folders that were in his hands on the counter. We were in the lobby. "You don't need me there now, do you? I am fine here; go to your father and your man. I'm pretty sure you've got a lot on your mind right now."
