Chapter 29 - Nightshade

"I-its because of the prophecy, the nightshade emperor is destined to become emperor and lead the world to a better future, saving the world from the 'Chaos'. That's the only thing I know but.... but I know it's not something to ignore." Ivy explained the situation to him.

Aiden's face immediately showed a look of confusion.

"Why? What about the chaos? What is happening here, explain it to me...." He throwed a lot of questions at her in an instant.

Ivy was stunned and slightly afraid by the sudden change in his behavior and attitude.

"Um... um... you seem to be quite surprised by my appearance... I am sorry about that." Aiden quickly apologised, noticing the change in her expressions.

"Oh, its nothing.... Well, about the nightshade... it was once a faction created by the Emperor of nightshade. He was said to be at the highest level of cultivation... but still, at the end, he died at the hands of the Chaos." Ivy started explaining to him in details.

"Then what happened?" Aiden asked her, feeling curious about it.

"The emperor was killed and the faction died as well, everyone lost their lives..." Ivy's expression turned gloomy.

"I only know that the demonic faction was also involved in the demise of the emperor, and now, they must be already targetting you..." She added, making his expression turn grim.

"Targeting me? What do you mean by that!?" Aiden asked.

"Well, the demons are very strong and they want to kill you to prevent the prophecy from coming true." Ivy informed him.

Aiden's face immediately changed from a confused one to a serious one.

"Is there any way for me to defeat those demons?" His eyes narrowed and his tone sharpened.

"There should be, you just need to find out the right way. But... if they are really as powerful as said, I don't think you can beat them for now, just by using your current cultivation base"

Aiden took a deep breath and looked at Ivy with a determined expression. "Then I'll have to become stronger. I cannot let this prophecy go unfulfilled and let chaos reign."

Ivy nodded in agreement. "Yes, becoming stronger is the only way to protect yourself and fulfill the prophecy. But it won't be easy. You'll need to train hard, and find the right mentors and resources to help you grow."

"Oh... About that, I already have a mentor by my side. She is really kind and always helps me in every problems. She was the one to save my life in the first place." He looked at her, talking about Rias.

"Oh? That is good to hear. Now, you won't have to fear of getting low on resources and knowledge." Ivy smiled at him.

"Yeah, that's true, I am sure that she will never betray me, that's why, I will never regret choosing her as my master." He replied back with a smile.

"Okay, now that you have came to this world, you should not miss om any opportunities in this realm. For that, I can assist you if you're okay with it." Ivy suggested to him.

"Sure, its not that big of a deal for me. I won't mind you assisting me in this large unknown place." Aiden nodded, completely agreeing with her idea.

"Kay, You should rest for now, we will head out later, there is something speacial that will be happening soon." She waved at him, walking towards her room.

Aiden decided to keep cultivating as it was not really necessary for him to sleep.

For cultivators at the Disciple rank, there was no need to sleep, that is why he could cultivate at any time.

Somewhere in the forest, a black creature was hiding from something.

It's eyes were showing the meaning of true-fear.

"Krahhhh!!" Suddenly, a loud noise erupted from the nearby bushes, leaving the black creature stunned.

It was starting to shiver from the tremendous pressure of being hunted by it's enemies.

"krughh!" A bright beam suddenly struck it's chest, making it fall unconscious.

It had already been 5 hours since Aiden started cultivating but still, he was showing no signs of waking up.

His blood circulation was going at a fast pace, his body emitting a monstrous pressure.

"Ahhh!!" He suddenly shouted, causing Ivy to rush out of her room.

"What happened!" She screamed upon seeing Aiden in pain.

She walked closer to him with caution as it was dangerous to be carefree in this situation.

Red liquid which very much looked like blood started to drip out from his entire body.

"Ah! What is happening!" Ivy screamed, trying to understand what was going on.

She used a healing spell on his body, trying to relieve his pain but to no avail.

"Why are my spells not working? It looks like something serious..." She thought to herself, her mind went into a state of emergency.

"Arghhh!!" Aiden was screaming in pain, veins were popping out of his forehead.

"What should i do, what should i do..." Ivy kept chanting while trying all of her healing spells.

Aiden suddenly stopped screaming, the red liquid stopped dripping out of his body.

He opened his eyes and looked at the tired girl in front of him.

"D-did you help me? Thankyou for saving me." Aiden looked at her and started thanking her for saving him, still waiting for her reply.

"I-i didn't, It wasn't me to save you..." Her answer made his expression turn ugly.

"Then, who saved me? I remember that I was screaming in pain when-
