A whole week had passed but Aiden was still cultivating.
His body structure got better and the powerful pressure from his body kept getting stronger.
"Krhaaa!!"
In the middle of cultivation, a loud noise diverted his focus, resulting in breaking his cultivation stance.
"What was that just now!?" He was scared silly by the weird screams that were coming from the nearby forest.
After standing up from the ground, he focused his gaze towards the forest, looking for the source of the weird screams.
"I should go and check it out, I can still escape if there is any danger so there is no problem in checking it out." He used the basic flying skill given to him by Rias and flew towards the forest.
After arriving near the forest, he landed on a large tree. Its height was enough to provide him a clear view of the forest.
He brushed off the leaves from his face and body.
The leaves smelled like flowers, they were a different types of trees which were not found in their realm, Aiden concluded.
"Hm...?" His eyes suddenly landed on a mysterious black thing which looked exactly like a snake- or an anaconda.
He decided to go a little closer to the strange thing when it started to move wildly.
"Hiyaah!" He jumped and landed on another large tree near him.
He focused on the snake like thing which was now better visible than before.
"Huh!? Isn't it a..." He instantly frowned once he looked at the strange snake like thing.
He found out that it was not some snake but a dragon's tail... "A real dragon!" He exclaimed, his loud voice instantly made the dragon jump.
The dragon was very scared. Although dragons were mighty and powerful, this young dragonling was the exact opposite.
It was even afraid of the wild beasts in the forest.
Aiden felt that it was too weird and decided to go closer while still keeping a little distance from it.
"Its cute..." Two words escaped his mouth when he took a closer look at the dragonling.
It was hiding in the tall bushes, this was also the reason that Aiden wasn't able to see its body.
The dragon had shiny black scales all over its body. Two large fangs were ready to pierce the prey and the hunter. The dragon was very strange, instead of being aggressive, it was covering in fear.
The dragon didn't make a move when Aiden went even closer to it.
Aiden was starting to think of things like taming the dragon and flying on it's back.
He shook his head when he finally arrived at a closer distance from the dragon.
"Ghrr!" The dragon instinctively roared but the roar was not very powerful.
Aiden didn't get scared a bit and kept moving toward it.
He stretched his hand and touched the dragon's tail.
The dragon suddenly turned aggressive and tackled him with its tail.
Aiden quickly reacted and dodged at the right time.
"Oi- getting aggressive?" He grinned, looking at the dragonling trying to struggle and fight.
He decided to not step any further as it was not very good for his safety.
He could feel that he was really dealing with a dragon because he read about them in the books in the sect library. He decided to try to research the dragon as wanted to know everything he could about it.
He sat down on the ground. He was not even scared of the dragon as it was not very powerful and didn't have the power to harm him.
"Hey, little one! How do you like my courage?" He looked at the dragonling and chuckled.
This dragonling was a little different because it did not attack him immediately.
"Come here, let me take a look at you." He got up and pulled the dragonling's tail using his left hand.
The dragon struggled and tried to shake off his hand but Aiden was much powerful than the dragon.
It was struggling quite a lot but Aiden didn't care at all.
As soon as the tail was fully dragged, Aiden grabbed the dragonling's neck.
"Kraghhh!" The dragon screamed.
Aiden ignored the dragon and stroked its neck.
"You don't have to be afraid of me, I won't hurt you. In fact, I will help you get rid of your fears. He continued stroking the dragon's neck.
"You have a lot of scales and two large horns on your head, are you a male?" He asked the dragonling.
Dragons had no sexual organs, so one could only identify their gender by the amount of scales on their body and their horns' size.
"Grrrr!" The dragonling became frightened.
"No need to worry, I am a pure hearted person. I would never hurt a weak creature like you..." Aiden whispered, stroking the dragon's neck again.
"But... why are you touching my neck?" The dragonling kept screaming but Aiden could tell that what it was thinking by looking at its confused look.
"Well, you are pretty interesting to talk with, aren't you?" He smiled at the dragonling.
The dragonling calmed down a little and stopped screaming after realising that it could not do anything right now.
Aiden looked at the dragonling's head, he noticed that there were two small circle marks on top of the dragon's head.
"What are these marks for?" He asked the dragonling.
"Eee-huh?" The dragonling remained silent.
Aiden pulled the dragonling's head and moved the marks closer to his own face.
"These marks are called birthmarks, they are signs that show that the dragonlings age is just around year 1, why don't we compare our ages together then?" Aiden was instantly shocked by the sudden voice that reached his ears.
