Adeline walked along the corridor to the interrogation room, pausing outside the door to take two deep, calming breaths before she entered the room, closing the door behind her. Adeline took a seat at the table, she could feel John's eyes on her but she didn't meet his gaze until she had sat down and her notes were open in front of her.
"When did all this begin for you, do you think?" She asked.
"All this?" He asked.
"You murdered five women. When did your hatred for women begin?" She asked.
"My mother was horrible. She was a bitch" John spat.
"Your hatred for women stemmed from her. What about children? You feel protective of your own, why? They're girls too" Adeline asked, watching for his reaction.
"My children are innocent. Children are innocent" he told her.
"When do they stop being innocent?" Adeline asked.
"When did you stop being innocent?" John asked her but Adeline didn't react.
