The morning after what happened between Pond and Kate last night, as Pond drove Kate to Eden, the atmosphere in the car was tense and awkward. Neither of them spoke a word, and the only sound was the hum of the engine and the occasional traffic noise. Kate kept stealing glances at Pond, trying to gauge his mood, but his expression was unreadable.
They both tried to act normal while working at Eden. But there was an underlying tension between them, and they kept stealing glances at each other whenever they thought the other wasn't looking.
During their lunch break, Kate took the opportunity to pull Pond into his office, determined to get answers from him. Without a word, Pond approached Pim and held her tight with both arms. "Is everything okay, Pond?" Pim asked, still rubbing his back as he held her. "Yes, it's much better now," Pond replied softly. He felt a sense of warmth and comfort as he held Pim in his arms. She never demanded anything from him, even when he didn't have time for her, and she never complained. Pond felt grateful to have Pim in his life.
Pim offered Pond her homemade ice-tea from the fridge, hoping it would make him feel better. As he drank the tea, he looked around her bakery, admiring the decorations and the smell of freshly baked bread. "You've done a great job here, Pim," Pond complimented her.
"Thanks, Pond. It's all thanks to you," Pim said with a smile. "Your support and encouragement are what keep me going."

Pim smiled and leaned into Pond's embrace. "It's okay, Pond. I understand how busy you are. I'm just happy to see you now."
