Chapter 23 - The Old God Reunited, The Supreme Reborn

Kate woke up feeling a bit down this morning, missing Pond and wishing he was with her. She sighed as her bodyguards drove her to Eden, and she tried to focus on her work at the animal shelter. "I can't believe it's only been two days since I last saw him. It feels like forever," she said to herself.

As they were driving, Kate's eyes caught a glimpse of a street food vendor selling her favorite breakfast - Bananas with Sticky Rice or Khao Tom Mat. "Hey, can we stop for a moment? I really want to grab a pair of Khao Tom Mat for breakfast," Kate said to her bodyguards.

Her bodyguards pulled over, and Kate quickly ran over to the vendor, ordering two sets of the sweet treat. As she dug into the warm and gooey sticky rice, she felt a bit better. "Mmm, this is so good. You guys should try some," Kate said, offering some to her bodyguards.

They declined, but Kate happily continued to munch on her breakfast, savoring the flavors. "You know, I feel like I can take on the world after this," Kate joked, making her bodyguards chuckle.

After finishing her breakfast, Kate arrived at Eden and started her work. As she was taking care of the animals, she couldn't help but think about Pond and how much she missed him. But she pushed those thoughts aside and focused on her duties at the shelter.

During her shift at the shelter, a baby Hill Myna bird was brought in, abandoned and in need of care. As a temporary staff member, Kate was assigned to take care of it. Kate was overwhelmed with emotion when she saw the tiny bird. "It's so little and fragile," she said to herself. She immediately called Pond, who was always her go-to person for animal care advice. "Pond, a baby Hill Myna bird was brought in today. I need your help," she said. Pond, being the expert he was, provided Kate with detailed instructions on how to care for the bird.

"Okay, first things first," Pond began. "You need to make sure the bird is warm. Do you have a heat lamp or a heating pad?" Kate quickly looked around and found a heating pad. "Yes, I do," she responded. Pond continued to give her step-by-step instructions on how to care for the bird. "You'll need to mix up a special formula and feed it to the bird every two hours," he said.

Kate listened intently, taking notes as Pond spoke. "Thank you so much, Pond. I don't know what I would do without you," she said gratefully. "You got this, Kate. Just remember to be patient and gentle with the bird," Pond encouraged her. Kate smiled and felt a sense of reassurance.

As the day went on, Kate carefully tended to the bird, making sure it was warm and fed. She felt a sense of satisfaction as she watched the little bird slowly gain strength. "I can't wait to show Pond how well I'm taking care of this bird," she thought to herself. She couldn't wait for him to see how capable she was.

Kate took the task of taking care of the baby Hill Myna bird very seriously, and she was determined to do everything in her power to make sure it was well taken care of. She followed Pond's instructions carefully, feeding the bird every two hours and making sure it was kept warm. But she also went the extra mile to make sure the bird felt comfortable and happy. She found some small toys and put them in the box with the bird, and even sang to it softly when she thought it was feeling lonely.

As Kate was taking care of the bird, one of her coworkers approached her with a smile. "Looks like you've got a new friend there," he said, pointing to the bird. "I'm sure you'll make a great mom someday." Kate couldn't help but laugh at the thought. "Well, let's hope not for a while yet!" she joked.

Kate spent the rest of her shift at the shelter taking care of the bird, constantly checking on it and making sure it had everything it needed. When it was time for her to leave, she carefully placed the bird in a small carrier and took it with her back to the mansion. "I'll take good care of you, little one," she whispered to the bird.

As Kate was leaving the shelter, she saw one of her bodyguards waiting for her outside. "Is everything okay, Miss?" he asked. Kate smiled and nodded. "Yes, everything's fine. Just taking care of a new friend."

Meanwhile, Pond and Pim were busy running the bakery all day long. As they closed up shop and logged back into the game, Palm was excited to show off his new buddy, the Drakthor servant beasts. They found a suitable group of monsters and summoned the Drakthor servant beasts. "Wow, check out its fire attack!" Palm exclaimed. "I'm going to name it Fury."

As Palm summoned his Drakthor servant beasts, the party was amazed by its fiery appearance and impressive skills. "Whoa, that's one impressive creature!" Xiao Ming exclaimed. "I'm glad you're on our side, Fury," Anastasia said, admiring the new addition to their team.

Pond was also impressed by the Drakthor servant beasts. "You really have a talent for summoning powerful creatures, Palm," he complimented. "I'm excited to see what we can do with this new addition to our team."

Pim, on the other hand, was more concerned about the bakery. "I hope we don't get any more interruptions tonight," she said, looking worried. "I don't want to stay up all night baking again."

As they continued to explore the game world, the party bantered and joked with each other. "Hey, Palm, if you're going to name your Drakthor servant beast Fury, does that mean we should call you Anger?" Anastasia teased, causing the group to laugh.

Palm laughed along with them, "Ha! Good one, Anastasia. Maybe I should change my name to Wrath or Rage."

As they decide to summoned Gusty, Grizzly, and Fizzy to introduce them to their newest friend. The blurry golden identity appeared before them, causing them to tense up in anticipation. The identity's voice was ethereal and echoed throughout the area. "The Old God reunited, The Supreme reborn," it kept repeating in a monotone voice. They stared in awe as the identity continued to repeat the same phrase over and over again, and they had no idea what it meant.

Suddenly, the golden identity disappeared, leaving behind a golden coin with strange patterns engraved on it. They picked up the coin and examined it closely, trying to figure out what it was. Palm was the first to speak, "What do you think it means?"

Pond replied, "I'm not sure, but I think we need to investigate this further."

Anastasia added, "Maybe we can find some clues in Velsharoon, known for its magical academy and arcane knowledge. We should head there."

Xiao Ming chimed in, "Agreed, we need to find out what this coin is all about."

Pim, ever the optimist, said, "Well, whatever it is, it must be important, and we will find out soon enough!" They all nodded in agreement, excited for their next adventure.

----------

Excited about their journey, the party spent the night preparing for their departure to Velsharoon City. Pond researched the city's history and found that it was ruled by a high council of mages who followed the New Order. He also discovered that the city had a complex system of underground tunnels and a magical academy that offered advanced studies in magic and arcane knowledge.

The next morning, the party set off on their journey, the party journeyed through the dense forest, with the sound of leaves rustling under their feet and the distant chirping of birds. Suddenly, they heard a loud roar and saw a group of monsters charging towards them. Without hesitation, they summoned their servant beasts and prepared for battle.

Gusty, the air servant beast, created a powerful gust of wind that pushed back the charging monsters. Grizzly, the earth servant beast, used its strength to create an earthquake that knocked the monsters off their feet. Fizzy, the water servant beast, summoned a wave that swept the monsters away.

As the monsters were defeated, the party cheered in victory. However, their celebration was short-lived as another group of monsters appeared. This time, they were much stronger and more difficult to defeat. The party struggled, but with the help of their servant beasts, they managed to defeat the monsters.

During the fight, Palm joked about how he wished he could ride his Drakthor servant beast like a dragon. Pim laughed and said, "I don't think it's a good idea to ride a creature that breathes fire." Xiao Ming added, "Yeah, you might end up with a toasted behind."

After the battle, the party continued their journey through the mountainous terrain. They encountered several more groups of monsters, but with their improved skills and the help of their servant beasts, they easily defeated them.

As they approached Velsharoon City, the party felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. They couldn't wait to see what kind of magical knowledge and clues they would uncover.

---------

As the party entered Velsharoon City, they were immediately struck by the grandeur of the magical architecture. The streets were bustling with people of all shapes and sizes, and the buildings towered high above them, adorned with intricate carvings and glowing runes.

Pond shared with the party some interesting facts about the city's history and rulers. He explained that Velsharoon was ruled by a high council of mages, who followed the New Order, a belief system that emphasized the power of magic and the pursuit of knowledge above all else. The city had a long and storied history, filled with powerful mages, epic battles, and grand feats of magical prowess.

As they wandered the city, the party couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The streets were lined with shops selling magical artifacts and potions, and the air was filled with the sound of arcane incantations and the glow of magical lights.

Pim was especially excited by the city's architecture, pointing out the intricate carvings and unique designs of each building. "I've never seen anything like it!" she exclaimed.

As they made their way deeper into the city, Pond shared more interesting tidbits about its religious practices and beliefs. He explained that the New Order worshipped a pantheon of gods and goddesses, each representing a different aspect of magic and knowledge. The city's high council served as the ultimate authority on all matters magical, and were highly respected throughout the realm.

The party had been exploring Velsharoon City for hours, and despite the seriousness of their mission, they couldn't help but joke around to lighten the mood. Palm had been complaining about his sore feet from all the walking they had done, which prompted him to suggest he could use a magical massage. "I wonder if there's a spell for that?" he said, chuckling.

Anastasia playfully rolled her eyes at Palm's comment and joked that she wished she had brought her wand with her. "I could really use a spell of invisibility right about now," she said with a laugh.

Pond joined in on the fun, quipping that he could use a spell to make him taller so he could see over the crowd. Pim laughed and said that she could use a spell to make her pastries bake faster.

Their light-hearted banter brought a much-needed break to the seriousness of their mission, and they continued on their journey with a renewed sense of energy and humor. Despite the challenges ahead, they were determined to uncover the mystery behind the golden coin and the message left by the blurry golden identity.
