"I thought that you have a schoolwork to do? Why did you came back so early?"
I want to reply with a sarcastic remark but she's currently in her period-like state, so I could only helplessly answer her 'honestly'.
"We already finished the research." I showed her the envelope and before she could nitpick some details I continued my words, "This is the files that I need to memorize for our presentation."
I don't know where the hell I took those words from but we really have a presentation in one of our subjects, the thing is it did not have any extensive research like what I told her. If she decide to dig deeper then the future me will take care of it.
Thankfully she did not pursue the subject further, but she's still blocking my way in.
"What esle?"
"Where's the thing I asked for?"
"Oh your feeds?"
"What did you just say?"
"Your food! If it's about that I already ordered on the way back, it will probably delivered here around 10 minutes? So can I enter now?"
Lea finally stopped standing by the door and entered inside. I followed her and once inside I first took of my shoes inexchange for my sturdy slipper before heading straight to the stairs, but midway of my climb I stopped and looked below where she is.
"Lea!"
"What?"
"Shall we eat our lunch in the living room while watching a movie or series?"
She did not reply and only nodded back before walking out of my sight. I hope this goodwill of mine will ease the burden off her brows, even just for a bit.
While thinking about what should we watch I arrived at my room. I put the envelope on my desk for a moment as I change my clothes and jeans into a much comfy cotton shirt and loose pants.
I did not went out immediately instead took a seat in front of my desk and then unstringed the documents. I only skimmed the papers at the restaurant for a bit but just seeing the first page of at most 20 pages of paper I knew that this thing could greatly damage his reputation if its used wisely.
I looked at the pictures of gorgeous girls printed on different paper and sighed. This is the only thing I could do to help you girls.
Taking out my phone I clicked the contacts, after scrolling I found the name and dialed it. I called five times, four of them was abruptly rejected while the lucky last one was picked up.
"You're annoying!"
A loud voice came out of my phone even though I already pulled it arms length away from my ears.
"You too. Why are you rejecting my calls?"
"'Cause whenever you call you always ask for favor!"
"How cold you are, Justin! Aren't we friends?"
"Does friend meant labor force in your dictionary!?"
"Cough. Well anyway I have a favor to ask."
I saw in my screen that the call was suddenly disconnected. I dialed him again and again until he picked up, he could turn his phone off and risk his 'playmates' ire or just give up. Its Sunday now so he must be with someone at the moment. It didn't took the fourth try before I could hear his voice again.
"You annoying siscon!"
"Hey don't call names like that gentleman, or you'll probably—no most likely get interrupted in the middle of your plays."
I could hear him grinding his teeth from the other side, he sounded so angry but I am sure I could still find that cemented smile on his lips if I video call him now.
"What do you want?"
His voice are a bit lower now, it seemed he already have gotten hold of his wits.
"Do you know anyone that are good at spreading rumors around the campus?"
I believe that people likes to gossip and the greatest percentage among them are girls, it is branded deep within their genes after all, and from the small friends I have Justin is the one that is acquainted to a lot of them.
"Why? Are you going to spread some bad rumors about Alfred?"
"A massacre would happen if I do that. It's a small fry this time and if you know what he did you're going to help me willingly."
"Who?"
"Kyle Dividad."
Silence. I waited for him to agree but I did not expect his next words.
"If you want everyone to hear rumors about him, it's not very efficient just using the word of mouth. Why don't we publish it in school paper?"
There's only thing that's on my mind right now: that fly is toast. He likes to carelessly plant the seeds of hate against himself and even if I did do nothing it would someday grow into something so massive that it would topple and smash him to smithereens, now my job is to add the super effective fertilizer to help those seeds grow into sturdy trees as fast as possible.
"You have a good idea right there, my friend."
I can't wait to see that fly's reaction once this plan is set into motion.
I lost my time talking with Justin, he had a lot of great ideas that easily smoothen the rough edges around my plan, it looks like the hate he have for that guy is greater than mine. It was not until I heard knocks—no, banging in my door that I remembered about the lunch.
"I'll email you the documents later, bye!"
I ended the call without waiting for his reply, then hid the documents in my my drawer and locked it, before walking towards the door. Unsurprisingly it was Lea that was standing outside.
"Are the foods already downstairs?"
"Yeah, long enough for them to turn cold."
"Sorry, I was on call with someone."
She suddenly stopped walking and looked at me.
"Who?"
"Justin."
"That playboy?"
"Yeah that playboy."
"Don't let that man influenced you."
How many times I heard this? And my only reply is:
"I know."
Well it's true that he's not that great influence to me, but in my circle who was? Maybe only Ron, but he's too serious.
The two of us continued walking towards the living room without any words. When we reached there I saw that she already prepared for everything, the only thing missing is the people to bond with as they enjoy this short weekend.
I unconsciously looked at the dim corner. Without any lights I could not clearly see the picture frame hung in there, but I knew that she must be smiling.
"So what should we watch?" I turned my head towards her lips raised up as I did. "Just not romance once, I don't want to fall asleep while eating."
"You pick."
I thought she cursed me but when I saw her passing me the remote I realized she gave me the freedom of choice. Is something bad going to happen to me?
"What's with that look?"
"Nothing."
I shook my head and turned it towards the big screen. This was a rare phenomenon that only happens once in a blue moon I should pick the best of the best among their library.
How about this horror? Uh maybe not I would rather not have bruises in my body. This superhero movie is interesting but I am not in the mood for that, hmm what about this comedy one? Yeah this is good I hope this would make her laugh, how funny would it look like when she's still frowning.
"Let's go with this one."
"Mhm."
I relaxed my back onto the soft couch and took a bite out of the cheesy pizza. Finally I could start my own weekend, now.
