Chapter 11 - Race to get stronger (1)

Warkinels was a totally different from the world I was from. It was a cruel world. First turning into a tree then encountering a mosquito that could have ended me and now the beast, all of the things happened within the span of measly two days.

There were laws and regulations that made us feel safe in my previous world but here laws and regulations can only be limited within one's fantasies. Here strength wins, strong ones makes rules, implements them and break them as well. People with no strength has no say. Appearance of that beast reminded me of the facts of this world and I was aroused to focus on getting stronger.

The global ranking of players was going to take place in 6 days. I wanted to appear on global ranking to obtain the benefits mentioned by the mechanical voice. But I understood the fact that appearing on ranking was no easy task. Benefits of global ranking would probably be something mind blowing and everybody would want to get it. There were even monsters that were already creating heaven and earth like gaps between me and them.

I had to focus on filling the gap between me and others by leveling up. "What level had the level eight player gotten to now ?" Suddely a thought crossed my mind.

PLAYER WITH THE HIGHEST LEVEL IS AT LEVEL 10....

The mechanical voice gave answers to my thoughts like always. But two levels within half a day, it was not bad. Gaining eight levels in the first day and half of another day had already passed but only two levels. "Did the person start to slack off ?" I would be happy if that was the case as the gap would not increase that much and even I could dream of catching up.

THE AMOUNT OF EXP POINTS REQUIRED TO LEVEL UP EXPONENTIALLY INCREASES WITH EVERY INCREASE IN LEVEL....

That means even increasing our level by one would require a lot of exp points. Was I a sworn enemy of the one behind the mechanical voice in my previous life ? I could not enjoy a moment of happiness. All my dreams were taken away by the cold breeze that was blowing past me.

I was not demotivated by what the mechanical voice said. Getting stronger without any challenge would feel like cheating to me. A little challenge would definitely make levelling up more challenging and fun. As the monster had gone and there was no source of disturbance here, I closed my eyes went back to my focused state.

Only a level up notification can wake me up now was what I thought but I could not have been more incorrect.
