As Kiara entered her room with the glass of juice, she placed it on the dressing table and was about to lie down on the bed when Erica stopped her.
Frowning, Kiara asked, "Erica, haven't I brought the juice already? What else do you need?"
But Erica insisted, saying her legs were hurting and asked for a massage.
Kiara wasn't keen on the idea and refused, but Erica simply shrugged and said,
"Oh well, I guess I'll have to find someone else to do it then."
Kiara knew that Erica was just teasing her and wouldn't actually ask anyone else, but she still couldn't be bothered to give her a massage.
After Erica's sarcastic response, Kiara let out a deep sigh and rolled her eyes.
"You know I have a lot on my plate already, and yet you keep demanding more from me," she said with a hint of frustration in her voice.
"I understand that your legs are hurting, but can't you at least try to be more considerate? I'm not your personal masseuse."
Erica raised her eyebrows and took a deep breath. "Okay, fine. I get it.
I won't ask you to massage me again," she said, her tone now more conciliatory.
"But you have to admit, it does feel good to be pampered every once in a while.
" Kiara reluctantly nodded in agreement. "I suppose you have a point. But next time, let's agree on a fair trade, okay?"
Erica drunk her juice and had a smirk on her face "I'm not doing anything for you again"
Erica finally broke the silence and kept a cold face. "Erica!"
"What!?" She replied and still kept a cold face trying hard not to laugh.
"For how long will you keep doing this?" She asked her since she has no choice than to do it "come on... It just a massage not anything difficult."
"It just a massage then why don't you do it yourself?".....
Erica acted like she was upset and told Kiara to forget about the massage and her help.
Kiara insisted that it wasn't that serious, but Erica continued to pretend to be angry.
Eventually, Kiara gave in and started massaging Erica's legs.
Erica couldn't stop laughing because she was able to make Kiara do something she didn't want to do.
She felt accomplished and decided to use this trick on Kiara again if the need arose.
"Ouchh Kiara..." Erica shouted when she felt a sharp pain beneath her knee "what was that for?"
She asked pulling Kiara's hands off her legs "massages.."
she replied bringing out her tongue to tease her.
"I'm doing what you said I should do so keep quiet and let me finish what I started." she added and continued massaging her.
Kiara planned to use the same trick on Erica in the future to avoid giving her massages.
After massaging Erica's legs for a while, she pinched her harder, causing Erica to push her away and tell her to stop.
Kiara found it amusing and laughed at Erica, knowing how to silently retaliate against her.
Kiara asked Erica how she felt after the massage, but Erica didn't want to talk about it and asked Kiara to leave her alone.
Kiara's phone rang, but when she saw her mom's call, she decided to ignore it and put her phone on airplane mode.
Erica asked her why she didn't answer, and Kiara told her she wasn't in the mood to talk to her mom.
Erica inquired about when she planned to call her, but Kiara didn't respond and just lay back on the bed.
Erica decided to let go of the issue since Kiara wouldn't like to say anything about it.
She sat there thinking then a suggestion came running inside her head then tab Kiara
"why don't you tell your mom you have someone you love?"
She spilled out then Kiara eyes widened "hell no" she answered "see, I think that's the best way to put your mom off from getting suitors for you...." She reasoned.
As Kiara pondered over Erica's suggestion, she couldn't help but worry about the possibility of her mother asking her to bring her partner home.
The thought of her mother disapproving of her relationship with someone who is not from the same social class as her was constantly on her mind.
"Umm... I don't think I will buy that Erica. My mom wouldn't approve my relationship with him" she informed her.
"And why won't she?...is she not the one forcing you to get married?"
Erica asked her "see... You know the kind of family I'm coming from and me sending a commoner... I mean taking a bartender home will be the greatest mistake ever because mom wouldn't like him because..."
She didn't finish her statement then Erica interrupted "he's of no high class as compared to your family and your standards"
Erica said making Kiara quiet all of a sudden "exactly" she answered feeling guilty and Erica could feel those pains Kiara was going through..
"Okay look... You and I don't know much about that guy and... "
Erica kept quiet for sometime before continuing to talk "the important thing is both of you love each other and that doesn't matter if you know much about him or not....
As far as the love is there just go for it.... I know you're a strong lady so don't let your fears or what your mom will say stop you from falling love with that guy okay...".
Kiara expressed her gratitude towards Erica by giving her a tight hug and taking a deep breath, signifying her relief.
She felt fortunate to have Erica's support whenever she feels emotionally overwhelmed and acknowledged her friend's constant presence in her life.
Kiara expressed her gratitude towards Erica and thanked her for always being there for her.
Erica advised her to do what makes her happy and asked her to smile.
Kiara smiled, revealing her bunny teeth which made Erica burst into laughter.
Kiara knew the reason for her laughter and quickly closed her mouth.
She called Erica a silly girl and both of them burst into laughter again as Erica understood what Kiara meant
