Chapter 13 - Goodbyes

I could see my master's body slowly getting transparent. I knew the reason behind it. He existed in this place as just a soul. And just now, he gave me all of his soul.

I could feel my eyes getting wet. If he wanted, he could have existed in this place for trillions of years and given his inheritance to his own race, the Dragons. Yeah, he was a dragon, the most powerful one at that.

He was able to clearly see the situation in many universes. The Dragons in this era were created from remnants of his body after the cosmos destroyed it. So, they were kind of like his children.

I also knew the reason why he did what he did. As soon as I came to this place, he could feel that my soul was not made from the laws of this cosmos. That's why he knew he could directly implant all his memories in me, and I wouldn't lose myself.

"Best of luck, Ethan. Remember, you are the only disciple of mine, Orin Goldstein. You know what to do now."

*Sniffles*

"Yes, Master."

I could do nothing as he slowly disappeared from this cosmos, never to exist again. I slowly moved toward the centre of the plain, which was in fact, the top of the mountain. I could see a teleportation circle there which I activated. I was teleported into a large cave like space. A giant glowing golden orb was before me.

From the memories I got, it was the divinity condensed by my master until the end of the cosmos.

Divinity could be condensed in two ways. The first and most popular way was through faith. You had to spread your faith through people, and the more they believed in you, the more divinity you could condense from their faith. The second and more complex way was through refining laws and extracting divinity from them.

The first method was a very volatile method as you could start losing divinity as soon as the faith decreased. All of your power depended on faith.

The second method did not have such drawbacks as the divinity you condensed was your own power, and nobody could take it from you. But it required immense talent to see laws and to condense divinity on your own because you could only start to see laws after you condensed your divinity.

Master used the second way to condense his divinity and therefore didn't depend on any followers.

To control and store the amount of divinity that was before me, you needed to have an equally powerful soul, which I now had thanks to master. I slowly started to refine the divinity and started to put it at the centre of my cores. I then broke my cores one by one to re-condense them with my increased soul power and affinities that I inherited from my master. It was thanks to the divinity that my body was still functional while I broke my cores. He had maximum affinity with all the elements.

The affinity grade, which we called superior, was not the maximum level. In fact, there were levels above it too. They were called Immortal, Supreme and God.

Master had God-level affinity with all the elements, and was one of the reasons he was the most powerful and chose to condense divinity by himself.

After a while, I recondensed all of my cores. You could now see a large sun that was divinity and multi-coloured planets of different affinities revolving around it.

I got up and was about to leave, when I got stopped in my tracks after what I heard.
