Chapter 7 - Three Years

"Brother! Let's go eat our breakfast." said a little girl with waist length white hair and golden eyes.

"Wait for a second, Sophia!"

Today marks three years since I came to this new world. It was an eventful three years of my life. I learned a lot of new things. I completed all the books in the library. I must say, Ethan had a photographic memory. I can remember every single word of the books I read.

In the original story, he died when he was only eleven due to an ambush by an enemy duchy. If he had lived, he would have become a formidable human. But I am going to change that.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like an average ten year old. I was starting to have some sharp features on my face. I also had a lean muscular body that you wouldn't expect from a five year old kid. Right now, me and my sister were going for breakfast after my training.

She was allotted a room right by my side, and she always waited for me before we went for breakfast. She is also intelligent beyond her peers. Well, that's to be expected since she was the future Legendary Mage.

I got ready and opened my door. Sophia also had the same eye and hair colour as me. Our hair matched father, and our eyes matched mother.

"Let's go, Sophia." I extended my hand.

She grabbed my hand, and we went downstairs. As usual, only two people were sitting at the huge dining table. We went ahead and sat on each side and started having breakfast. Today's breakfast was a simple French Toast with juice.

"Your Birthday is coming up." my father spoke.

I almost forgot about that matter. You see, when I said I was a five year old, I wasn't. I will be five years old in a week. And coincidentally, mine and Sophia's birthday was exactly one year apart. So we had our birthday on the same day.

"Your mother will start teaching you the basics of mana when you become five. Your sister will also start studying mana with you under your mother."

I paused when I heard that. Remember when I told that I had countless ways to get stronger? Almost all of them required mana and those that didn't, required one to have sufficient strength to a certain extent. So, my plan to get overpowered will start with mana. I was trembling from excitement.

"Yaay! Did you hear that, brother? We will be learning together with mother from now."

"Yes, Sophia. We have a lot to learn from our mother. Mother, we will be in your care."

I could see stars sparkle in my mother's eyes.

"Don't worry, Ethan and Sophia. I will make sure you become one of the most powerful mages and alchemists."

"How's your training going, Ethan?" father asked.

"It's going well, father. I can now compete with the knights in terms of stamina and agility. Although, I can't win against them in a fight."

Father smiled, "You will soon be able to win against them in a fight. They had their body trained with mana."

Well, father was indeed correct. The knights had already formed their mana core and therefore had already surpassed human limits.

After breakfast, I decided to walk for a bit. I made my way towards the Garden. It was a bit far from the manor. While walking towards the garden, I saw the servants and workers doing their job. They stopped by to give their greetings.

I finally reached the Garden. I had seen it multiple times, but every time it gave me a fascinating feeling. It had multitudes of plants and flowers, and at the centre, there was a large tree with blue crystal leaves. I could see a variety of butterflies and other insects. They were of all kinds and colours.

After a brief walk, I sat down on a bench. I started thinking of what I would do after initiating my mana. All of my plans will begin after that.

*Sigh* I had lost all the initial excitement that I got after I reincarnated. Magic and Sci-fi technology was already feeling normal to me.

The day passed by uneventfully, and the night came. I went to my room after dinner to a sleep.
