Chapter 32 - Chapter 31

After sailing for five minutes, the group arrived at the marine base island. The base was a small island completely occupied by marines; there were no civilians there at all.

The ship then anchored, and Nezumi started leading them out of the ship and started walking in towards the base. As they were walking towards the base, a group of marines came out of the base to greet their captain.

"Captain Nezumi!" A marine shouted as he saluted his captain. "Welcome back, sir!" he shouted once more, causing Luffy's eyes to twitch. Nezumi sighed and saluted back to his men before he spoke.

"Okay, okay, stop yelling," said Nezumi in a tired tone. Luffy was impressed by his acting. So far, none of his men had any suspicions. "I have a job for you," he said, getting the marines present excited.

"These gentlemen are our guests, and they are in need of gunpowder and ammunition." "Please take them to the warehouse and give them everything we have," he said, shocking the marines who were there.

"Everything, sir?" asked the marine in a surprised tone. Nezumi got angry and shouted at the marine.

"Did I stammer, Soldier!?" Nezumi asked or shouted, causing the marine to be taken aback before he started apologizing.

"No, sir! Sorry, sir! "We'll take care of it soon, sir!" The Marine screamed before turning towards Sanji and Zoro and speaking. "If you want to follow me, we can leave now," he said, causing Sanji and Zoro to nod before they started to follow the marine.

Luffy turned towards Nezumi and spoke in an amused tone.

"You have noisy and energetic minions," Luffy said, causing Nezumi to let out a sigh before he spoke in an exhausted tone.

"You don't know," he said while rubbing his temples, before he straightened up and spoke angrily towards Luffy. "Let's hurry and finish this, pirates," he said, causing Luffy to nod his head before the two of them walked into the building.

Luffy summons a small thundercloud to put all the money and also to return to Nami Island. The cloud followed the two of them behind Luffy as they entered the building and started down the stairs leading to the basement.

When they finally reached the dungeons, they came to a long passage, and at the end of the passage, Luffy could see a giant safe with a door as big as the passage itself. K

The two walked towards the end of the hall, and Nezumi then walked to the door and put the key into the lock before he walked over to a button in the safe, which Luffy guessed was a combination lock. Nezumi started entering the combination before walking back to the lock and turning it four times.

On the last loop, Luffy heard a click from the safe, then Nezumi walked to the right side of the safe and grabbed a lever and pulled it. The large door of the safe opened, and inside Luffy could see a pile of gold at least 10 feet high.

Luffy was really surprised; he didn't expect the marines here to have this much money. He turned toward Nezumi and spoke.

"How many are there?" Luffy asked in a surprised tone.

"500 million the last time I checked," he said, surprising Luffy.

"Where did you get all this money?" Luffy asked in disbelief. "I mean, we're in East Blue of all places; if it were the Grand Line, I would understand, but this is East Fucking Blue," Luffy stated.

"We collected these in a span of 5 years. Normally, we needed to send half to the main base, but we kept telling them we only had that much and the rest to keep the base running. "The fact that we were in East Blue made them trust us," he said, causing Luffy to laugh.

"Alright," said Luffy, before moving aside and allowing the lightning to enter the vault. "After this, you don't have to lie anymore," said Luffy in an amused voice that caused Nezumi to growl.

The cloud then entered the iron safe and began to increase in size. It wasn't long before the cloud completely covered the vault itself, swallowing up everything within the vault.

"What's he doing?" asked Nezumi while looking at the cloud.

"That cloud kept everything in this iron vault to itself," he said, surprising Nezumi. A minute later, the cloud began to shrink until it was twice its size before it entered the hold.

After shrinking, the cloud came out of the vault, showing the two of them what was left inside. Nezumi and Luffy looked inside the vault and saw one gold coin lying on the floor.

Nezumi's eyes widened as wide as dinner plates. Luffy had cleaned out the entire vault, leaving only one belly. Luffy laughed before placing his hand on Nezumi's shoulder and speaking in his usual emotionless tone.

"I thought our business was over," he said, causing Nezumi to growl. He wasn't going to try and attack this pirate; he had seen his fight against Arlong.

This pirate single-handedly slaughtered Arlong's entire crew before he toyed with Arlong and then destroyed Arlong Park with just one strike.

He knew if he tried to attack Luffy, he would meet a painful death. Nezumi chose to play it safe; he decided to let this pirate out of the base, then he would contact Marine Headquarters (HQ).

"If you will follow me, we will be heading out soon." "I'm sure your friends are done with their business," he said before starting to walk down a different passage than the one they had just come through.

"This isn't the way we came," Luffy said as he narrowed his eyes at Nezumi.

"Yes, I know that." The door from the staircase cannot be opened from the inside, and no one is allowed to open it from the outside to let someone out. "Anyone who enters through that door must leave through another door in the prison section of the base," said Nezumi.

Luffy just shrugged his shoulders before following along through the hall. At the end of the hall, they turned left and passed a row of prison cells. Some of the cells are empty, while others have prisoners in them.

As they walked, the prisoners screamed at Nezumi and Luffy, and that started to irritate Luffy. Finally, unable to put up with their bullshit, he sent bolts of lightning shooting out of his body into every cell, shocking every prisoner.

When they reached the end of the hall, they passed through the stairs leading to the door. Luffy was about to start up the stairs but was stopped as a scream for help came from his right.

"Help me!" a woman screamed, causing Nezumi and Luffy to look to their right. What Luffy saw made his blood boil. Lying on the ground in the middle of the cell was a woman in torn clothes, exposing her underwear; her face was swollen, showing that she had been beaten; her whole body was covered in cuts and bruises; and her eyes were filled with tears.

Standing above the woman, the three marines looked at her with lecherous smiles on their faces and lustful looks in their eyes.

"Shut up, Bitch!" one of the marines said before grabbing her hair and pulling her up to the marine's height. "No one is going to save you." "You are our little toy that we can use as we please," he said before pushing her back to the ground.

One of the marines looked out of the cell and saw Nezumi and Luffy staring at them. He immediately straightened up and saluted Nezumi.

"Sir!" he said as he saluted, attracting the attention of the other two. When they saw their captain, they both saluted too. Nezumi smiled and nodded before continuing to walk up the stairs, ignoring the woman's screams.

As he took one step on the stairs to start climbing up, a thunderous sound sounded outside, causing the entire building to shake. Nezumi immediately turned pale, turned his head, and saw Luffy staring at the three marines with anger in his eyes while blue sparks of electricity surrounded his body.

"You marines have the audacity to call us trash pirates, and this is what you do to poor, helpless women," said Luffy in an icy tone that sent chills down the spines of all the marines there, as well as every prisoner there.

Luffy then pulled out his gun and fired three shots.

* BANG * * BANG

Three electrical energies shot out of the gun and hit the three marines right in the head, causing them all to die on the floor. Luffy then turned toward Nezumi and spoke.

"You Marines are far worse than the bastards themselves," he said before he extended his left arm and the electrified rope shot and coiled around Nezumi as she tried to escape, causing her to fall head-first on the stairs and break several of her teeth.

Luffy then walked over to the wall and placed his palm on it; he then charged electricity through the wall throughout the dungeon. Three seconds later, all the cell doors opened, and the prisoners started running, thanking Luffy as they ran past.

Luffy then walked into the cell where the woman was. The woman turned her back on Luffy, crying as she stared at the dead marine on the ground. As Luffy was standing right behind her, he saw something over her left shoulder, which made him even angrier.

It was the Kuku of the Flying Dragon, the mark that the Tenryubito gave to their slaves. Luffy immediately took off his captain's coat and put it around the girl.

The woman turned around and saw Luffy looking at her with a warm smile on her face. "You'll be safe now," said Luffy, causing her to cry again. Luffy then bent down and carried her in a bridal fashion, causing the woman to let out an "epp." He carried her out of the cell and then placed her on a cloud before he started walking up the stairs with the cloud carrying the girl following behind.
