Chapter 35 - Chapter 34

"Raise the Ancher!" Nami screamed, causing Luffy to turn around and look at her. He saw her standing some distance away from the villagers. As the villagers begged her to say goodbye, Luffy turned to his crew and shouted.

"You guys heard that right! Set Sails! Raise the anchor! "Sanji, take the helm!" Luffy shouted, causing them all to struggle to finish his order.

Usopp and Johnny opened the sails, while Zoro and Yosaku pulled the anchor, and Sanji took over the helm and started steering the ship. Nojiko ran over to Usopp and Johnny to help them tie the sails in place, while Luffy stood there straight-faced, looking at everyone.

Luffy turned towards Nami and saw her running towards the moving ship, running in and out among the people.

"You didn't think she would do what I thought she would, did you?" Zoro asked from beside Luffy.

"I guess so," replied Luffy. Nami reaches the end of the pier and makes a long jump, jumping off the pier onto the ship and surprising Luffy. When Nami landed on the ship, the first thing she did was tug on her shirt, causing Luffy's eyes to widen while Sanji started to get excited.

From his clothes fell dozens of wallets, which he stole from villagers while running past them. Luffy shook his head and started laughing.

"Thank you very much!" Nami screamed at the villagers, causing their jaws to drop. Luffy then looked at the rest of the crew and nodded, signaling that it was time to start planning.

When they had sailed some distance from the island, Luffy was sitting on his cloud-made throne, Zoro was on top of the mainmast, Sanji was in the kitchen making lunch, Usopp sat on the floor next to Luffy doing something with his invention, Johnny and Yosaku were playing cards on Luffy's left, and Nami and Nojiko had just finished tending to their orange tree and walked out to the back deck with beach chairs to sit with Luffy.

"What do you think you're going to do, Nami?" Luffy asked while looking at him with raised eyebrows.

"I'm going to relax for a bit," said Nami as she unfolded the beach chair. Now Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku go into position to carry out Luffy's plan with Zoro.

"Relax?" Luffy asked before he started laughing, confusing Nami and Nojiko. "You committed treason on a pirate ship, and you thought you'd come back on the same ship and be able to relax?" Luffy asked, causing Nami's eyes to widen.

"Under normal circumstances, that crime can only be forgiven if you end your life," said Luffy, scaring her.

"But you know, you never actually said to join my crew if I remember correctly; we were just working together to achieve our common goals," Luffy said, causing Nami to calm down a bit.

But that doesn't mean you can get away with it. You stole the ship that is still flying my Jolly Roger, so you should be punished. EVERYTHING!" Luffy shouted. As he shouted, Zoro, Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku spilled four large buckets of mud all over the deck, except for the aft deck, where Luffy was.

Sanji then came out of the kitchen wearing an apron and screaming.

"What are you doing?" Sanji shouted while looking at Zoro. Luffy walked up to Nami and handed her the mop and bucket.

"Starting today, you are in charge of cleaning the ship until I say otherwise," Luffy said, causing Nami to take the mop and bucket in resignation. "And no one should help her!" Luffy shouted while looking at Sanji and Nojiko, making them nod.

Nojiko nodded with a smile, while Sanji wanted to protest but thought otherwise. Nami then came down with her mop and bucket and started cleaning the boat.

After about three hours, Nami finally finished cleaning the ship. She came up the stairs looking tired and sweaty. She walked over to Luffy and spoke.

"Done," she said. Luffy smiled and nodded, saying that she could rest. Sanji then appears with three drinks on a silver platter. He handed a glass of whiskey to Luffy and took the other two drinks to Nami and Nojiko.

Luffy took a sip of whiskey and smiled before looking up at the sky. It was then that he saw the News Coo flying over the ship. He whistled to get the bird's attention, causing the bird to fly onto the ship.

Luffy paid him, took a new newspaper, and returned to his throne. When he unfolded the paper and started reading, he commented on you out loud.

"Hmm, this world really is a turbulent place," said Luffy as he turned the page. "There's been another coup d'etat in A kingdom," he said before turning the page again. As he turned the page, a piece of paper fell from the newspaper.

"Hmm, what is it?" Luffy asked as he stared at the paper flying around before finally landing between Luffy and Usopp. When Luffy saw it, his eyes widened, and Usopp screamed.

"AHHHH!" Usopp shouted, causing everyone to come over and see what the fuss was about. When they saw the paper, they all stared with eyes the size of dinner plates.

at Marine Corps headquarters

Gathered inside the Marine Headquarters in the meeting room were all the vice admirals of the Marines, discussing the great threat that had appeared in the world.

"So even with a conservative estimate of their strength, they are still too strong for our branch base to handle?" asked one of the vice admirals while pouring sake.

Yes, before even being formed, this pirate group had single-handedly killed the captain of Marine Base Axe-Hand Morgan. Since then he has shown no signs of slowing down, including Buggy, the "clown" of 15 million, and Kuro, "of the 1000 plan," who apparently faked his death. "With a bounty of 16 million," said Brannew, shocking everyone in the room.

"Admiral Don Kreig's pirates have 17 million; Fishman "Saw-tooth" Arlong's pirates have 20 million," he said, pointing to each wanted poster on the blackboard. "Each of these pirates has a bounty of over 10 million, and he beat them all, but that's to be expected considering who he is," said Brannew, getting the attention of all the marines.

"From the reports we have collected, he has a Logia-class devil fruit and is quite strong," he said, getting some surprised reactions from several Vice Admirals.

"Logias is believed to be the rarest and strongest class of devil fruit," said one Vice Admiral. "Do we know what kind of logic it is?" he asked. Brannew looked at the paper in his hand and spoke.

"His power is believed to be a lightning devil fruit." "We have a report from Captain Nezumi of the 16th branch saying that this pirate was completely able to wipe the base of Branch 16 off the face of the earth and kill everyone on the island with just one strike."

Brannew's words caused the eyes of all the marines in the room to widen. He then looked at the paper before speaking again. "It is also reported that he is a master of all three forms of Haki," he said, causing everyone's eyes to widen.

"A Haki user!?" in East Blue! One of the vice admirals shouted or asked.

"Did you just say all three?" asked another. "He has Conqueror Haki?"

"This is not good," commented another marine.

"It's still getting worse," Brannew said, causing everyone to stop talking and stare at him with eyes the size of dinner plates.

"How could this get any worse?" asked one of the vice admirals in a tone that sounded like he was terrified of whatever Brannew would say.

"He is also a student of Shanks the Red," he said, causing the entire room to go silent. Before anyone could say anything, he spoke again. "Ten years ago, Redhead came to East Blue, if you all remember," he said, earning nods from everyone.

"It was reported that he brought a child back with him, and now we have reason to believe that report... There is no doubt that this is the same child. Reports also said that at one point the child held a high position in Shank's crew, and he went to create his own pirate group with permission from Shank. And because of that, we gave him the bounty [spoiler]. Brannew said to stop so this information could get to all the marine chiefs in the room.

"I can't believe it," said one of the vice admirals.

"Where is this boy now?" asked the others, who immediately went into marine mode.

"He is currently heading to Logue Town. "We have already sent reinforcements to support Captain Smoker," Brannew said.

"That's good; we can't let a pirate of this caliber re-enter the Grand Line," said one vice admiral, earning a nod from the others.
