Washing the last of the dishes, as hummed the lyrics to Sofia the first theme song.
I know I have an horrible taste in music.
I returned then back to plate rack, wiping my hands, I took the last bite of my cake licking the ice cream icing off my fingers.
I turned back to walk into the living room, jerking back as they all stood at the door, anxiously waiting for me.
"How long have you been waiting there, you know what don't answer it"
"What did you guys do, or what do you want" I raised an eyebrow eyeing them suspiciously.
They were up to something and it's not good, that look was there.
"Well you are turning 18, and you would be gaining admissions soon"
My step mum started, she had a mischievous grin on her face. Hell! they all did even Anu.
I was not safe, "I haven't gained admissions yet, who know I might not"

I switched my phone back off looking up at them, "what do you guys want from me" I asked shutting my eyes , I felt i wasn't ready for their reply.
"Well we are going out, today is your birthday so we planned a trip to ***** "
I cringed, "Whyyyyyyy" I was whining, they know I hated going out.
"No excuse, get dressed and we are going out, I refuse to have you moping around on you 18th year old birthday also"
My step mum always got what she wanted, so there was no hope arguing.
"Fine I would go out with you guys only because I want ice cream and meat pie" I smiled, walking past them to
"Yay, we are getting ice cream" Anu screamed running upstairs, "I wanna get my shoes"

I have to reply them, can this day just be over already.
I started replying all the happy birthday messages with either an heart emoji, or the a thank you.
Dropping my phone back on bed, I sighed now I have to actually make an effort with how I look.
Walking back to my wardrobe, I decided to with a faded blue ripped jean and a black kitted crop top, a small back hand bag, my black sunshades and my big sister necklace sat on my neck looking pretty.
Picking out a black and white all star converse and style my hair edges with an edge control hair gel. Still leaving my hair in an high buh, I wore my mose mask on my face.
Letting two strand fall free on my face. I applied a glossy lip gloss and packed my phone and my head phones and air pods in my small bag.
Doing the essentials, and I Switched off my light and shut the blinds, I shut my door. Walking towards the stairs, I could here sighs and pleads.
"Ice cream, Ice cream, Ice cream" Anu was screaming so loudly holding on to her shoes, she hugged her shoes close to her chest.
I giggled as her dad left them to take a seat in the living room,
"Please help me" My step mum looked at me with desperation evident in her eyes, I giggled dropping down in front of Anu on my knee.
"I would get you king lace Ice cream if you allow me to help you put on your shoe" I pouted, She smiled giving me her shoes both left and right one at a time.
"Seriously?, How are you Soo good with her" He mum sighed turning backwards to take a gulp out of the bottled water she left of the table.
"Alright her you go" I grunted lifting her up and Placing her on my thighs, I helped her put on her shoes, she wiggled in excitement, it war lacing her sneakers.
Finally lacing up her shoes, I wiped off the bead of sweat that formed across my fore head, smiling back up at them, as they both stood behind us.

Sitting in the back seat as I waited patiently for them to join us in the car, fastening my seat Belt, I shut my eyes mentally preparing myself for a day with people.
This is me everyday at school.
I was just about to close my eyes long enough to allow my body adjust to the hot temperature of the car, when Anu pulled my shoulder. Moving me rigorously.
"Don't sleep we have to sing, it's a road trip!" Anu pulled me out if my daydream, my eyes peeled over as I stared at her.
Soon bother of my step parent were in the car and the journey from our estate at Magodo began, the Ac circulated round the car.
After 1 hour of singing and trying to calm Anu down, we finally arrived at Lekki Leisure park.
The went by fast I moved on really fast from there on, we got on a few rides, and settled to finally get ice cream, the main reason I agreed to come today.
" I'll go get us something to eat" My step dad rised up and walked towards the counter to order us some food. I felt tensed up in my seat, someone was staring at me.

I sighed looking back and my eyes met his, I stared for a good 5 seconds before snapping my head back Soo fast, I grabbed on to the table for support.
Damn!He has **** eyes, like how, I was lost in his eyes for a while I couldn't see his face through the nose mask.
"Are you okay?" My step mum looked towards his direction, and back at me, "you can go sit with him. We don't mind"
I scoffed, "No thank you I want ice cream and that's all" I looked down at my phone, there was an incoming call from Sarah..
"Really" I whispered through gritted teeth, that was my 9th call in just 4 hours, " Sorry I have to take this" I excused myself from the table.
Waking outside I past the ***** eyed boy, I didn't glance down at him but he made my walk out very akward because I can feel he eyes not leaving my body.
"Hey Sarah".
"Hi happy birthday dear, just called to wish you" I sighed
"Thanks love, I got your text too, means a lot" She could feel the discomfort in my voice, I was too stressed to hide it, they no I hate calls I made it clear when I didn't call or text anyone in months since I left highschool.

"Well bye, we would chat later I guess you are busy?" She ended the call. I sighed walking back towards our seat, not looking forward I crashed into a wall

I peeled my eyes opened at the hazel eyes staring back at me.

My subconsciousness was back to being snarky.
"Am sooo sorry, I had.no idea you were coming out" I rushed out getting back on my feet".
"It's fine" His voice rumbled the bass in his voice was commanding yet so gentle, all in a good way, I was drooling and I haven't seen his face yet, if you haven't noticed, one of my turn on's will definitely be a guys voice.

"Here" He gave me a hand which I took, looking up at him, the sun blocking my view from his face, I squinted my eyes trying to look up at him, placing my hands in his, his hands were warm suspicious warm, still I hated the contact pulling it out as soon as I got up.
"Thanks, Soo sorry once again" I bent back down picking up my phone, fingers crossed as I prayed my screen wasn't cracked, smiling with contempt I cleaned of the sand, looking back up I turned about to walk back in when I heard his words, the deep rumble filling my ears, my body responded before my head did.
"Apology not accepted, I said its fine but apology not accepted" I stopped dead in my tracks....
