After everything had settled and the once Pedicator of the city was stripped of his title and placed in the stocks, the King and his party found themselves sitting around a table in a lively tavern. Irrumare, Cinaedus, and all their friends from the gym had joined them all as well as the city celebrated their restored sexual freedom.
Layla finished a long drink and slammed her mug on the table just like she had seen her brother do so many times before.
"A girl huh? I thought girls were gross?" she asked Quinn, her face red and flush from all the drinks she had already downed.
"Girls are gross to kiss and stuff, but I don't have to kiss one to be one, besides, they are cute and kind," Quinn said.
"Just like you!" Barric said, slamming his mug down now as well and ruffling Quinn's hair.
"Stop!" she whined. "You're embarrassing me!"
"This kind of thing is fairly common in demon society. By the time a demon has matured they are usually expected to have some sort of identity and goal of their own figured out," Sylas explained.
Hana nodded at this and looked Quinn up and down.
"Honestly I'm not surprised," she said, pressing a mug to her lips.
"What's that supposed to mean!?" Quinn whined as everyone at the table let out a hearty laugh except Sylas. The demon messenger smiled and sat down his mug as even he had joined in on the drinking and festivities this time.
"Excuse me, I think I'll turn in early tonight," Sylas told the rest of the party.
Everyone groaned at this, wanting him to stay.
Barric slapped his back.
"Don't give him too hard a time! Sexual liberation is hard work ya know!" the King said with a laugh.
Sylas stood smiling and offered them all a nod before finally taking his leave.
Akaihana watched him close as he left the table and ascended the stairs towards the rooms.
The demon went straight to his room and locked the door behind him. He let out a deep sigh and took a seat on his bed before producing his scrying orb from his pack. He stared into the orb and activated it. It began to glow with purple energy.
"My Princess, are you there?" Sylas asked.
There was only silence for a moment and then the face of the demon Princess was revealed in the orb.
"Hiiii Sylas! How's the trip going?" she asked in a happy sing-song voice.
"Well enough, but that's not why I've contacted you. It seems that I was right Princess. The demon King has been lying to us," Sylas confirmed.
The Princess sighed.
"I was afraid that might be the truth, but we kinda have a bigger problem on our hands. He's set to awaken soon," she revealed.
Sylas grit his teeth as an unfamiliar feeling shot through his body. One he hadn't felt since he was a child.
Fear.
"Just please come home Sylas!" the Princess pleaded.
"I'll be there… just as soon as I can, there are still questions I need answered."
