Alessia was jolted awake by a piercing agony that seemed to tear through her abdomen. Her hands flew to her distended stomach, feeling the tightness of her skin and the hard lump pushing against it. She had thought she was only five months pregnant, and now it felt like she was ready to give birth, with her body stretched out and swollen beyond measure.
A sharp, guttural scream ripped through the bedroom as another wave of pain crashed over her body. She tightly gripped the blanket in both hands and contorted her body into a tight ball, her breath shallow and rapid as she tried to resist the pain.
The doors to the room fly open, and Cronus struts in with a smile on his face.
"Looks like it's time for a baby!" He smirks.
Sweat was pooling at Alessia's temple, and her hands were shaking.
"What's...going.... on?" She can barely breathe.
