Chapter 37: Light VS Darkness
The nun pulled out a cross!
A ray of golden light then emancipated from the object as she held it right in front of her chest, giving the impression that the powerful and blinding light was coming right out of her chest!
Michael personally thought it was pretty interesting…
The shadow werewolf was swallowed in the light!
She couldn't stand so much light, so she had to leave as soon as possible.
The shadow werewolf soon disappeared into the darkness of the church, right before the blinding light could consume all of her.
Ironically enough, as soon as the deadly assailant vanished, the sun rose outside and more lights joined the nun.
Dawn had arrived.
The horrible night was long gone…
The vicious shadow werewolf had been defeated and chased away. Michael was safe and sound as he had just been rescued by the brave nun.
"Thank you…" Redheart panted as he was still driven with a lot of adrenaline. He was certain that the shadow werewolf was going to get him this time. Especially as he couldn't escape through the doors.
"Michael! Who's that nun? And how did she somehow manage to stop the shadow wolf?" Maleva couldn't wrap her head around what recently happened. It was even worse for her since she wasn't able to see as much as Michael did because she wasn't inside the church with him. She was still outside with Lycanna.
"Wow! That nun is pretty courageous!" Lycanna blushed as she was able to see her a bit through the open gap of the doors. Well, the back of her mainly.
"I have no idea how she did it…" Michael finally replied to the huntress, but the truth of it was that the light that came out of her cross was so strong that it mostly blinded him for the most part, so he wasn't able to see much, anyway. Even if he was right there in the church with her.
As the light from the cross eventually dissipated, he could see the nun a bit better. It turned out that she was much shorter than he originally thought she was. Especially from a certain distance. Even though he was still only seeing her from the back, he could already tell that she was taller than Lycanna was, but much shorter than the huntress that he was hoping to marry one day, Maleva. A nice in-between in terms of height. However, the real question here was not how tall she was… The real question was: Why would this nun risk her life to save him?
Everyone was asking themselves that very, same question.
The nun stayed with her back facing them for the longest time…
… Until she finally decided to turn around. Doing so in painfully slow motion as she revealed the front of her body, as well as her face for the first time to the three of them…
Everyone, including Michael, was purely shocked to find out how adorable this nun was.
Everyone was expecting an older and more mature woman, but who they encountered was someone who looked like she could be a teenager. She was an adult, that part he knew, but she definitely had a gorgeous and youthful aura to her.
The cute girl locked eyes on Michael with her beautiful, but quite piercing crimson red eyes.
The frown on her face immediately revealed that she wasn't too happy about Michael and the others being here in this church.
Only a bit of her hair could be seen in the front, as her nun's uniform covered most of her head. Thankfully, she could still see a few of her bangs. Judging by her bangs, this nun had red hair. Gorgeous and provocative blood-red hair
…
Michael had no idea what to say.
He couldn't stop staring at her as she locked eyes with him.
Then…
She finally walked up to him…
Walking fast…
Much faster than he ever anticipated it was going to be the case.
She never ran, she simply walked intensely fast.
Stomping around. Making a lot of noise whenever she walked.
Fearing for Michael's life, Maleva attempted to break the chains, so she could finally get through the doors of the church and come to help him, but it was, unfortunately, too late for that… The ominous nun was already onto him. Not even Lycanna could slip through the doors to aid him.
"Michael… Hold on…" the red and green-haired huntress tried reassuring him, but that didn't do anything for him…
"Michael! Run!" Lycanna also began fearing for his life.
But it was, indeed, too late…
The angry nun quickly arrived where Michael was near the doors.
She abruptly stopped right in front of him.
Penetrated into his personal bubble.
Stood so close to him that it both intimidated him and aroused him at the same time.
The tip of her nose nearly rubbed against his.
Eyes locked.
"..." Michael didn't say anything…
"What are you doing in my church?" The nun with the striking red hair immediately began interrogating the hotheaded man.
***
Things somehow became a bit calmer again.
Somehow…
The visibly frustrated nun managed to cool down a bit and agreed to remove the chains from the doors, allowing Maleva and Lycanna to enter the church. The nun unlocked the doors using a big, ruby-red key constructed in the shape of a cross with a wolf's head in it.
The same cross with the wolf's head symbol could be observed on the front of the nun's uniform she wore.
As well as the same cross with a wolf's head symbol that had been previously seen by Michael and Maleva on the front leather cover of the strange bible they found not too long and brought back to Maleva's mother.
Everything appeared to be connected by this cross-wolf's head symbol.
Still feeling like she was pretty frustrated, the nun accepted to have the three of them sitting on the benches of the main room of this decrepit church while she stood closer to the front room where the altar was. She always stood. She never sat.
"I will ask you one more time: What are you doing in my church?" the nun continued to insist on the fact that this… All of this was her church…
