Chapter 38 - Burning Hot Church

Chapter 38: Burning Hot Church

Eventually, the nun with the fiery red hair insisted on taking Michael to a different room

Alone.

While not exactly a room, the nun brought to the confessional booth, which was not too far from where the altar was.

Michael was told to go into one of the two halves of the booth, the one designated for regular people to make their confessions… Their unholy confessions… Meanwhile, the angry nun had gone into the other half of the booth. Ready to listen to what the handsome man had to say to her…

"I woke up here! I swear! My friend and I did! We both woke up here and then our other friend found us!" Michael nervously explained to her, as he never remembered having been in a confessional booth ever before. This was so new to him.

"How convenient… Go on… Tell me more…" the nun insisted on him confessing more of his sins…

The nun ended up acting more like a priest than an actual nun at this point…

"What is this church anyway? What is so run-down? Why is it like that?" This was something that bothered Michael from the very beginning, ever since he dreamt about it.

His wet dream perturbed him for that very reason.

As soon as the current condition of the church was questioned by the hunter, the nun with the red high heels soon angrily stomped on the ground with these heels.

Michael was easily able to hear the loud and echoing clicking sounds that her sexy heels just made from the other side of the confessional booth.

Everything came to a stop.

Michael had said too much.

"First and foremost: My church is not run-down. Second: My church is in a period of transition," the nun set the record straight with him.

"What is that supposed to mean?" that still didn't answer any of his questions, really.

"The church is not going to stay that way… I can guarantee that to you…" the nun angrily blushed as she absolutely came across as totally ashamed that her church, as she put it herself, was in that decrepit state.

"Okay. Can you at least tell me what happened to… Your… Church…" Redheart paused right before calling this church hers, even though, there was no confirmation that it truly was or that she was actually a real nun other than the fact that she wore a nun's outfit.

Michael could already tell that this was a sensitive topic for her.

"Is everything okay?" he asked her.

"Do you really want to know what happened to the church?"

Of course, he wanted to know. That was why he asked in the first place.

"Yes. Tell me," he insisted.

"Something awful happened here…"

"Was that the shadow werewolf? Did it do this to the church?" he was deeply convinced that it could be the case.

"You don't understand… I am the one who did this to the church…" the nun finally announced to him.

How could a nun that tiny could do something like this to a church?

The entire place had been rampaged. Destroyed. Michael's eyes widened as soon as he heard what the confident nun had to say.

"What are you talking about? It's impossible. Why would someone like you ever do something like this?" he questioned her.

"Sometimes… It's tougher for me to control myself…" she admitted to him.

To control herself? Does that mean she's also someone like Maleva and the rest of us? Someone who has the ability to transform into a beast? Michael realized that perhaps there was a lot more to this nun than met the eyes.

"So, you're the one who made this mess in the church?" it slowly began making sense, but still—why would she do something like that?

Not that long after, the nun mentioned the fact that she sometimes had trouble controlling her true emotions, having trouble controlling herself, she pulled something out of the interior of her nun's uniform: It was a moonstone. It was the moonstone that Michael and the others had been looking for. No. That wasn't exactly what it was. It was, but it was something more than that now. The moonstone they were looking for had been crafted into something different. It had been crafted into an object, a green-blue-mint color cross.

Michael might have not noticed it on the side of the dark window that separated the two halves of the confessional booth, but the hunter clearly felt its presence and its aura as soon as it was pulled out from underneath her outfit.

What is this? I felt the same thing back at the entrance of the cave earlier… Could it be the same type of energy as the moonstone we're looking for? Michael asked himself.

However, what happened next immediately interrupted Michael from investigating this moonstone's presence any further…

"You know? I have to admit something to you…" she said on the other side of the booth.

Something to admit to me? The nun has something to admit to me? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around or something? I mean, we are in the confessional booth and I should be telling her all my sins. Which is pretty ironic, to say the least, right? I guess she's a priest, she's a nun, after all, so maybe she's not used to it or something…

"What do you have to tell me?" he asked her, waiting for whatever she was going to admit to him.

"I felt angry the first moment I saw you, earlier…" she dropped on him.

She got angry the first time she saw me, why?

"I don't understand…"

"I became angry when I first laid eyes on you because I knew that I was going to like you…"

Does she like me? I'm so confused…

"That's right! Don't say this to anyone, but I like you and I want to have sex with you, hunter!" she shouted in the confessional. Telling Michael not to say anything about this to anyone, yet, she was shouting in there. It would be a miracle if Maleva and Lycanna didn't hear her.

"What? Seriously? Just like that?" he asked her.

"Yes… I want it…"

"That's… Great… But there's something I need to ask you first…"

"This is supposed to be the other way around—you're supposed to confess things to me—juicy confessions, but okay, go ahead."

"Okay… I understand that the state of the church was a… mistake, but why did this nightmarish wolf attack us here? Am I responsible for her barging in here, or is there something else…?" Michael was playing dumb and innocent. He perfectly knew what the shadow werewolf was (more or less), and he knew that she followed him here, but the young man was attempting to see if there was something more to this nun, which probably was the case…

The adorable nun inhaled and exhaled.

Deeply.

"I'm afraid this has nothing to do with you. I ran into that monster many times before. It wants something I have. An object I found in one of the nearby caves: It's some kind of moonstone," the nun explained to Michael, not knowing that he was seeking her moonstone in the first place.

The moonstone! She has it! So, if what she's saying is true and that she found it in that cave, that probably means that what I felt earlier at the entrance of it was most likely traces of it. The residue left behind. I can't believe it! The nun has the moonstone!

"A moonstone? Really? May I see it?" Michael asked. Doing his best to act normal and not weird, at all. Tried to keep his composure.

"Um… Maybe… But only if you do something for me, first…"

"Okay. What do you want?" he shrugged as he asked her.

"See this big, round hole in the window?"

He looked down.

"Yeah? So?"

"We are going to use it," she excitedly declared to him.
