Yuji's hand trembled with excitement as he held the knife inches away from the girl's face. She whimpered, her eyes squeezed shut in fear, tears streaming down her face. Akito's heart pounded in his chest as he took a step forward, his eyes locked onto Yuji.
"I'm done with your empty promises," Yuji snarled, tightening his grip on the girl's arm. "And now you're going to pay the price for lying to me."
The sound of footsteps echoed through the deserted alleyway, drawing closer and closer to the scene of the unfolding chaos. Suddenly, Yuji was jolted from his sickening reverie as Akito firmly grabbed his hand, the one holding the knife, stopping him in his tracks.
Yuji felt a shiver run down his spine as Akito's grip tightened, and he could see the rage burning in his eyes. It was like looking into the eyes of a predator, and Yuji knew he was in deep trouble.
"I don't want to hurt you, kid," Akito repeated, his voice low and dangerous. "But I won't stand by and watch you hurt someone else."
Yuji's eyes widened in fear as he realized that Akito meant business. He struggled to break free, but Akito's grip was unrelenting. "Come on, man, let me go!" Yuji begged, his voice shaking. "I won't do it again, I swear!"
Akito didn't respond, his eyes fixed on Yuji's. The air around them grew tense and charged, and for a moment, it seemed like anything could happen.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Akito released Yuji's hand and took a step back. Yuji stumbled backward, breathing heavily, and stared at Akito in disbelief.
"Get out of here," Akito said, his voice still low and dangerous.
Yuji's hand trembled as he gripped the knife, the blade glinting in the dim light. His eyes flickered between Akito and the girl, his anger and fear making him unpredictable.
Akito noticed the fear in Yuji's eyes, and he knew that he had the upper hand.
"You should have thought twice before bringing a knife to a fistfight, kid," Akito said with a sly smile. "Fear is one of the weakest points in a fight. Looks like you've already lost."
He could sense the desperation in Yuji's voice, The girl huddled behind him, her hands shaking with fear.
The girl's voice quivered with terror as she clung to Akito's back. "Please, sir, let's go! He's crazy!" she pleaded, her hands shaking as she pointed at Yuji, who was now advancing towards them with the knife in hand.
"I'm not letting you go!!" Yuji yelled as he swung his knife at Akito, Akito barely dodged it, and the knife cut one of his hair strands as he ducked.
With a swift move, Akito grabbed Yuji's wrists, immobilizing the knife in his hand. He could feel the cold metal pressing against his skin, but he didn't falter.
"You want to play with knives, kid?" Akito asked in a low voice, his eyes dark with anger. "Let me show you how it's done." With his swift reflexes, he landed a powerful knee strike on Yuji's gut. Yuji's body went limp as he crumpled to the ground, unconscious.
Akito let out a deep breath, feeling the adrenaline slowly ebbing away.
As the girl embraced Akito, he could feel her body shaking with relief and gratitude. He held her gently and rubbed her back, soothing her as she cried tears of joy.
"Thank you," she said, her voice trembling with relief. "I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't shown up."
Akito simply nodded in response
"You don't have to thank me, I'm just glad you're okay," Akito said with a soft smile, his hand still patting her back.
The girl pulled away and looked up at Akito with tears still in her eyes. "I don't know what I would have done without you. You saved me."
As they walked away from the alleyway, Akito turned to the girl and asked, "By the way, what's your name?"
The girl hesitated for a moment before replying, "It's Miki. Thank you for saving me back there." Akito smiled warmly at her. "No need to thank me, Miki. It's just what anyone should do in a situation like that."
Miki nodded, her eyes shimmering with gratitude. "I will do everything in my power to repay your kindness, Mr. Akito. Thank you so much," she said softly.
Akito smiled at her, but his attention was suddenly drawn to a sleek black limousine that had just pulled up to the curb. As the tinted windows slowly rolled down, Akito's heart skipped a beat.
A tall, striking figure with long, snowy-white hair and a dark, tailored suit emerged from the car, his piercing gaze fixed directly on Akito.
Akito's mind raced as he tried to place the man. Something was unnerving about him, something that felt familiar yet foreign at the same time. His palms grew slick with sweat as he felt a sudden sense of foreboding.
"Father is here, Thank you, Mr.Akito!" Miki turned and made her way to the limousine, her petite frame disappearing behind the tinted windows.
Akito stood there, watching as the car pulled away, feeling a knot form in his stomach.
The sky was painted in shades of orange and purple as the sun was setting, giving the city an ethereal atmosphere. Miki was engrossed in her book, the pages turning softly as she read each line.
Her father glanced at her, then out the window, observing the city that passed them by.
Suddenly, he turned to Miki, his voice low and soft, "Who was that man, Miki?" His eyes were searching, probing for answers.
Miki paused her reading, looking at her father. She noticed the curious glint in his eyes and the way his jaw clenched as he waited for her answer.
"It was Mr. Akito, he saved me from a bully," Miki replied, her voice almost a whisper.
"Akito..?" her father repeated, "Tell me, how did he save you?" Miki hesitated for a moment, trying to recall the events that had transpired earlier.
She could still feel the adrenaline rushing through her veins, remembering the sudden appearance of Akito and the way he stood up for her.
"Umm, well," Miki began, "he knocked out my bully with a single knee kick, he seemed powerful!"
Her father's eyebrows raised in surprise, his interest piqued.
Miki's father turned back to the window, deep in thought. Akito's name rang a bell, but he couldn't quite place it. He was intrigued by this man who had come to his daughter's rescue.
There was something mysterious about him, something that piqued his curiosity. As they drove further into the city, Miki's father couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to this Akito than meets the eye.
"Perhaps a potential fighter for The Pit." Miki's father thought to himself, his lips slowly forming a grin.
