"I don't mean to rebuke you, Myranda... I enjoyed this, but time is not on our side. I will repay you, however. That, I promise." Metas whispered into her ear and gave her soft kisses on her silky skin.
His tender smile turned to a frown as he looked at the dark marks on her neck. The Alpha couldn't help but reach out with his fingertips and brush them against her wounds.
"I'm so sorry for what Silas did to you. It was inexcusable that he touched you in any manner. I don't like the way his face looked when he spoke to you and took advantage of his size and position either," Metas sighed sadly and let his eyes run across her shoulders and chin to make sure he hadn't hurt her anywhere else.
"He should be the one to apologize, not you. You were there to pick up the pieces, and that is what counts the most. What matters now is making sure you sit where you belong. Whatever you ask of me, I will do in order to help you liberate the kingdom. Just don't leave me here useless," Myranda begged and then moved back so that she could kiss his forehead and move stark strands of midnight black from his face.
"Useless is the last thing you are, my mate - and I won't leave you here. Not after last night. Not after the things I heard echoing in the tunnels. Would you feel okay staying with me outside the mountain? It won't be comfortable, and we won't have the best amenities, but we will be safe," Metas requested and returned her affection by thumbing her chin gently and slid it into the white half of her her hair to tuck it behind her ear.
"I will go anywhere you go, my Alpha" she responded confidently. "I'll support you and stay by your side until you cast me away, or I am no longer standing."
"Anyone who would cast you away would be a fool, and a weakling. I am neither, so never think of something so ridiculous again. I need you to feel secure with me. Jyriah has told me so much about your pasts, and the three of you will be treated with nothing but respect and honor from me and those who follow in my stead."
"Shhh, shh - no more promises, my heart can't take anymore, and we have more important plans to make. Trust me, I want my revenge against Silas, and more than anything - I want Syrana to see the real him. Then, we can bring her to our side. She's the smartest, sweetest...just the best sister ever. I know she can help us gather more support for you when the playing field is fully revealed,"
Metas loved to hear her words. Not just because her voice was soothing and strong - but because she spoke like a true Luna, and it solidified his decision that she was not only right for him, but for their kind, too.
"You are right, my Luna. I will save the promises for when we are victorious - for now, let me help you pack some things to take with you. I've had very long time to bring things from castle to my home, you will only be able to take something with you once for now. I don't want you to feel like you had to lose your most important things."
"...What about my home?" Myranda couldn't help but ask. Even if this place had bad memories - there were good ones, too.
"Jyriah says Gerald would be happy to take over your position and keep the place safe for you....but do take a few things you cannot live without. Trust me, it matters on stormy, cold nights," he replied soothingly.
"You all thought about this a lot, didn't you?" She quested out impressed. Not because of Metas - but her brother Jyriah was not usually one to plan or take time to think of his actions, and for him to have been apart of something so intricate warmed her heart.
"Yes. You're an important part of the plan, Myranda. The only reason I kept my distance was because I thought you didn't trust me. I thought you would leak information to Silas because of how much you detest my bloodline," he answered truthfully.
"I hate Silas more than anyone, so - no, I wouldn't have. ....but I understand why you thought I would. You have more than proven yourself to be a good King, and a valorous wolf. I'm with you now - and I don't detest your bloodline. You're in it, so there is gold in your veins somewhere," she offered and grinned when Metas smiled widely at her words.
"What did he say to you last night?"
"He wanted me gone because he views me as a burden to my siblings, and in the way of his desires to be the next Alpha King," she sighed with a frown. "I'd rather drown in stagnant water than live under his authority."
"We will make him pay dearly for his miscalculation, and his actions. Never think of his words again, Myranda. He is a liar, and a coward. His opinions aren't worth anything," he reassured her softly and leaned in to put his forehead against hers in comfort.
She closed her eyes as he neared her face and leaned into him in return. As much as she knew she needed to gather her things, she didn't want to give up the moment that they both deserved, and she didn't want to put her shirt back on just yet.
The way he ran his hands up her back as he pulled her towards him felt like the best high one could achieve. Myranda somehow felt 'real' now, and for once she actually believed she was apart of something that was far bigger than she could ever be.
"I don't place value on Silas' words, Metas. Trust me. He's nothing but a fart in the wind. I want him to learn his true place," Myranda replied and looked up to him with a smile.
"...and where is that?" Metas asked curiously.
"Under your foot as it's pressed on his neck," Myranda revealed pleasantly.
"Very specific, my mate. I had no idea you wanted him crushed beneath me," he let out in soft surprise with two raised eyebrows.
"No..that's supposed to be for me," she slipped in and returned his last sensual reply with her own. To assert her dominance, she went to stand up from his lap - but she was surprised when he grasped onto her arms and pulled her back towards him.
"Then you had better make preparations for a very dire pounding, because you're making it very hard to resist you," he warned and then pulled her chin towards him where he could give her lips a longing, passionate kiss.
