~Before the merge.~
The day started out like any other day for Mike Harris.
{DEET DEET DEET, DEET DEET DEET}
"Dear god, why do I still use this damned, infernal alarm," I say then nearly smash the alarm to shut it up.
'Ahh much better. Now I can start my normal routine."
I begin my morning cardio. Then it's yoga shortly after. Of course, I never forget to admire himself in the mirror. Self love is important too.
I'd say I'm a generally handsome guy. Standing around 5'9" and weighing close to 180 pounds. I have a well defined body. Not too bulky yet not too thin either.
"Well time to wash up, get dressed, and head out for the day. I can't wait to see what today brings me."
Little did I know, I'd be getting much more than i asked for.
I throw on the cutest T I could find, and of course, I don't go anywhere without my classic skinny jeans and high tops. "I think I'll go have some coffee at 'The Little Tearoom'." (1).
The building is only a few blocks away, so i guess I'll go for a stroll.
On the walk to the tearoom many people keep greeting me with warm smiles and friendly good morning.
As I arrive at the door, I happened to notice my best friend, Liz, waiting there for me.
She's wearing the most stunning combo of blue jeans and a plaid button-up over a solid purple undershirt, which is tucked in, and her belt is absolutely gorgeous. I really love the rose and thorn design.
"How the heck did she know I'd come here." I chuckle to himself.
I step through the door and am immediately bombarded by my best friend.
"Mike where have you been? I've been waiting here for over half an hour. You wouldn't believe the night I ha-"
"Slow down I haven't even ordered my coffee yet hun, and how did you know I was gonna be here." I interrupted while massaging my temples. "But damnnn boo, you're really poppin off today aren't you." I compliment
"Thanks love, and of course I knew you'd be here. It's our favorite coffee shop," she replied.
We both order our coffee's and head to the most aesthetic booth in the room, which is upstairs. It has the most beautiful, wide open bay window that looks out over the town. It is our absolute favorite booth. We have the perfect view of the horizon and we can see everyone on the streets as they pass by.
"{sigh}, I can't help but say, this really is the most perfect view in town." I declare.
"Honestly I can't disagree with you. It is quite magnificent. I wouldn't trade it for the world," Liz replies.
After a few minutes of enjoying the scenery, our coffees arrive. "Now tell me what it is that you wanted to tell me about?" I ask.
"Alright so you know howâ"
That was all she could say when suddenly everything began to tremble, and strange lines appear in the sky.
"Liz we need to get out of the building hurry,!"
I grab Liz's hand and we began running for the door. As soon as we step out we notice the sky.
"Holy shit Mike, those aren't lines. Those are freaking planets in the sky, and they're way too damn close." Liz exclaimed. "That doesn't make any sense. How the hell did they get there." I reply, exasperated.
Then, all of a sudden, a brilliant light flashed in the sky, and everything went darkâŚ
