Chapter 8 - Stood up.

"Inspector, thank God you are here. This way please." The manager of the hotel gestured toward the police inspector, anxiety and worry were evident in his gaze.

Stepping into the club, they walked straight into the elevator and pressed the second floor. "How did this happen? When did you discover the body? Did you get the CCTV footage?" The police inspector questioned with a thinking expression in his eyes as he pondered, the manager closed his mouth and swallowed before opening it once again.

"He was discovered by a worker who was assigned to clean his room, we tried to check the CCTV footage for what happened but we found nothing." The manager explained the situation to him, omitting some parts of how the dead man had asked him to get rid of the CCTV before he died.

"Are you sure you can't find the CCTV footage? or you don't want to give the footage to us? I find this situation extremely suspicious." The policeman refused to relent, he felt there was more to it than seeing the eyes.

"It's not like that sir, If I did hide the footage then I would have also hidden the murder case from you too." The manager pointed out the point which got the policeman nodding his head. The elevator beeped and the doors opened, they stepped out and strode towards the room that had the dead man.

Getting into the room, the inspector glanced around before his gaze stopped on the young man. A frown settled on his face, the current case was going to turn out more troublesome than he had thought. "This is the senator's son is he not?" he questioned the manager.

"Yes, inspector and that was why I was extremely nervous and reluctant to tell you anything at first, am a man with a child and wife." The manager began staying his plight, "If I do tell you what he asked me to do for him then do you promise to keep me safe? Rich people are manipulative and twisted." The manager added glancing at the dead man's body.

"I can't guarantee that Manager, I won't be able to completely protect you if I may say but say the truth is a must. You are fundamental human rights after all." The police inspector replied, he could feel a headache at the tip of his brain. The issues with the high-class people were never one to be solved easily.

"You can't coerce me into using my right police inspector, I told you the best I can. To find the rest by yourself." The manager uttered turning around as he stepped out of the room and walked again without any form of hesitation.

The police officer glanced at the dead man on the ground, his gaze skimmed through every inch and corner of the room trying to find proper evidence to end the case soon. His eyes fell on the card on the table and then on the knife pierced into the man. A simple knife wouldn't kill a fully able-bodied man unless there was something else in it, he moved towards the table and picked up the card.

On the card was boldly written; Black is coming for you. It seemed like simple writing to anyone but it wasn't as easy as he thought it was. 'Black' He had heard that name before but where he heard it was slipping from his mind at that current moment.

He put the card in his pants pocket not letting anyone see it before returning to gather more evidence from the crime, which looked too clean for him to believe nothing had happened.

~~~~~ Civil marriage bureau. ~~~~~
It was Wednesday, and Abigail stood under the tree with sunglasses on her face and a bag in her hands. She repeatedly glanced at her watch numerous times, the man had sent her a message asking her to come here and wait for him but it was almost an hour already.
He was not picking up his calls and not replying to her text messages, a frown settled on her lips as she thought about it. She was not pleased with the outcome of the so-called fake marriage, as she stared at the building she glanced at her time and decided to wait for another 30 minutes before leaving.
Elias sat in his car waiting for his so-called bride who was yet to arrive, a deep frown was on his face as he waited. He had been waiting for 30 minutes already but she wasn't there, he glared at Danny who shrunk his neck into a turtle's neck hiding in his shell.
"Go out, and find that woman. If she doesn't come here in 10 minutes then am getting married to anyone from this place." Elias gave out his order his eyes flashing in anger, he held the amount of anger he was feeling within himself trying to control it.
Danny immediately nodded his head and got out of the car, he stood out for 8 minutes but could not see any sign of his young master's supposed wife. He remembered the master's words and immediately turned searching around for an available woman, his gaze landed on the woman in black under the tree as he searched.
He smiled happily before making his way toward the young lady, "Young lady, I can see you are waiting for someone." Danny muttered in a cool tone standing next to her.  Abigail raised her head and glared at him before turning her face in the opposite direction, "Leave! Don't pester me." She ordered in a cold tone.
Danny could feel the shivers climbing up his spine, she had the same cool tone as his young master and was extremely cold like him too. "What I mean ma'am is, my master was stood up by his bride and you seemed to be in the very same situation too."
"Would you like to get married to my boss instead? He is sitting right there in the car." Danny remarked pointing towards Audi sports car 19. Abigail raised her eyes and glanced at where he had just pointed, a glint flashed through her eyes staring at the car. A tiny little bit of her interest was prickled by his words
"Fine, get your boss here in five let's get married I already feel suffocated enough," Abigail stated turning her head towards the civil bureau. Danny happily nodded and ran towards the car to inform the young master, the young master paid very little attention to his words before climbing out of the car.
He moved towards the woman who was standing under the tree, "You want to get married to me why? Are you a stalker like all my other fans? Or you had my bride kidnapped today?"  Elias questioned the moment he stepped close to her, his eyes studying her impatiently.
"I could do all those, then you won't be alive anymore. I will have you buried under the ocean by then, you stink." Abigail responded not bothering to exchange words with him.
"Whatever let's get this over with quickly, I have a meeting to get to," Elias spoke refusing to listen to the jab she did on him a moment ago. He stepped forward and held her hand pulling her with him to the city bureau.
