"M- Mom," She said and the queen looked at her and then smiled.
"What are you doing here?" The queen asked.
"I came to talk to you about earlier, but what's with the blood?" She asked.
"I just ended up hurting one of the beasts for being a bit violent, but he is fine, tell me, what do you want to talk about?" She asked with a nervous smile on her face and Myalis gritted her teeth and clenched her fists.
"Why are you lying to me?" She asked and the queen glanced at her with her eyes narrowing.
"What do you mean?" She asked and Myalis looked at her with anger in her eyes.
The girl was confused as to why her mother was lying right in front of her face, she knew her mother would never hurt the beasts like that and she got angry, wondering why her mother was acting that way.
"Is today the day you decided that lying all the time was fine? Fine, forget about this, did you make me lie about my talent because me being the only girl within this family that has that talent?" She asked and her mother stepped back as her daughter walked towards her.
"Stop talking and stay put, yes, that was the only reason," She responded and Myalis left staring at her.
At that moment she realized that her mother was still lying due to the way she was behaving and the girl stopped in her tracks and bent down and touched the blood on the floor and the queen sighed.
"Myalis, please, go," She said as the girl sniffed the blood and realized that it was from a person and not a beast.
The girl knew of those things because her father taught both her and her brother hunting and how to track and tell the difference between certain types of beasts.
"Tell me the truth, now, why are you doing this?" She shouted as her eyes began glowing bright purple as well as her body and her mother flinched with trembling eyes before looking around them.
"What are you looking at? I am here!" She shouted and the queen lowered her head.
"Calm down, I didn't hurt anyone, Myalis, I lied to protect you, not from your family here but from other people, sweetheart, I am sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you like this, I want you to listen to me with a cool head, please, I am begging you to calm down..." She said and Myalis's eyes widened as she stared at herself in the reflection of the glass door.
Her mother then struck the door with the whip that appeared in her hand, shattering the glass, causing Myalis to jump and look at her mother, who rushed to her and hugged the princess tightly then she returned to her normal self.
"Good girl," Her mother said then raised off of her and smiled.
"I am telling the truth this time, that blood is from someone who tried to hurt me and I got rid of the person, I would never hurt an innocent sweetheart, the others are not the reason I lied about your abilities earlier," She said and Myalis sighed.
"So, why exactly, Mom?" She inquired, and her mother smiled and kissed her on the forehead. .
"Go get me a glass of water and something to eat please; I didn't eat dinner as yet, and we'll talk about it together," Myalis nodded and went to the kitchen, while her mother lowered her head, tears streaming down her cheeks, and someone appeared behind her.
"What are you hiding from me?" The person asked in a stern tone and the queen chuckled as her body began glowing blue, she turned around to look at the person and a smirk appeared on her face.
"I am not going to let you have your way here, I will not let you hurt my family," She responded as she attacked the person while Myalis was in the kitchen getting the water her mother wanted.
After the girl finished getting the water and her mother's dinner, she was on her way back to her mother, when she heard a loud explosion, her eyes shook as she dropped everything on the floor and ran to her mother, but in doing so, she smashed the glass splinters and they pierced her feet.
"Mom!" She yelled and the guards who heard the explosion, tried but failed to enter the castle, due to them being worried that something bad might have happened, they used a bird to deliver a message to the king.
When Myalis arrived at the balcony, she noticed that everything had been blown apart and the air around them was dusty.
The girl looked around and saw her mother bleeding on the floor, unable to move, and tears welled up in Myalis's eyes as she was about to move when a claw-like hand passed through her mother's chest, the girl gasped as the queen coughed up blood.
Myalis couldn't move, and she noticed a man standing beside her mother. She was about to move when her mother saw her, and her eyes shook as she stared at her daughter looking at her, her mother didn't know what to do at that moment since she was almost helpless.
She raised her finger to show Myalis not to move an inch further because she knew if the girl did, he would kill her without thinking twice, and the girl understood what her mother wanted to say, but Myalis didn't want to hide, she knew that she was not powerful enough to face someone who could fight head to head with her mother, a woman whose combat skills were great and was affiliated with the wind element but despite that, she wanted to protect her mother.
Myalis hid behind the wall and took a deep breath before clenching her fists as the king received the message from the bird that the knights sent and immediately left with his father and son in the hope of reaching home in time, he prayed for nothing to happen to his family but it was already too late.
