Once they arrived at the place, the soldiers led them inside. The further they walked, the more Kim got really scared. These people would kill them soon.
They led them down the hall to an empty cell and swiftly removed their cuffs. This was the end of it. There was no way out of here.
Meanwhile, Alexander was escorted to the sitting room to talk things with his old friend. If it hadn't been for him, he would have lost his post as the President.
"I owe you so much," he said to him. Harvard was the father of Olivia his mistress. He had taken the girl in as his mistress after she graduated from college. "I can give you so much money in return"
"That is not what I want," Harvard said with a more serious expression.
"What do you want?"
"Marry Olivia"
"Excuse me?" Alexander almost choked on the water he was drinking.
"You know that my daughter loves you so much. I would like her to get married to you" Harvard said.
Marry Olivia? No!
"I will give you some time to think about it," Harvard said. "What punishment have you decided to give up on the soldiers"
"They committed an unforgivable crime" Alex's face turned red in anger upon remembering what happened earlier. All his men were dead. They killed them.
"They should be beheaded instantly" Alex stood up and then suddenly remembered the soldier girl who led him to his study room to sign some documents. He felt calm and happy upon remembering her cute round face. She was a well-trained soldier who knows how to do her job.
"You should be there for the beheading," Harvard said.
"Why? You can do it alone" he frowned.
"You're the President. And most importantly, they tried to overthrow you"
Alexander hesitantly wore his suit before stepping out of the house.
Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the dungeon where they kept the soldiers. Their faces were covered in blood, the other group of soldiers had done a good job by torturing them.
His gaze landed on the soldier girl who knelt at the far end. Her head was down so he couldn't see her face clearly. Even though her face was all bruised, her alluring beauty still shone out.
He couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful she is. He had never seen a soldier as beautiful as she was. One of the men held her neck tightly and she raised her head. They locked eyes with each other, from the look in her eyes, he sensed fear inside her. But she didn't show it at all. She kept on smiling as the soldiers whip her back.
She always remembered the words that say; never show your weakness to your enemies because they'll use it to take advantage of you.
The soldier whip her back again, and this time, he saw a small droplet of tears come out of her eyes. Without warning, he grip the soldier who whip her by his neck and shoved him against the wall.
As the handcuff was removed from their hands, Kim fell back lying on the ground. Three minutes later, the soldiers came back with weapons. They strike them on their backs one after the other. The pain was so much that every inch of her body pleaded for mercy.
They strike her on the back again, but she didn't dare to make any sound. The men torturing them frowned upon realizing they were soldiers and normal torture like this one won't affect them. More soldiers joined and whipped them mercilessly. Every strike burnt like hell.
Suddenly, the cell gates opened and she heard footsteps approaching. She kept her eyes closed as she spent the next minute waiting for another strike. They held her neck tightly forcing her to look up. Her eyes instantly met with a pair of black ink eyes.
The President was dressed in all black giving him a dark aura. Another lash came unexpectedly and forceful tears came out of her eyes.
Instantly, anger took over the President. He spun onto the and shoved him against the wall causing all the bones in his body to break.
'Why? Why did he do that?' Kim said in her head.
Once he was done with him, he walked closer and bent down caressing her soft cheek.
"Don't worry you're safe now. No more pain" he smiled at her.
"You fucking bastard! Get off me!" Kim yelled as she turned her face away from him. It was after the words came out of her mouth that she knew she had gone too far. Insulting the President in front of him? She should embrace death because he wouldn't forgive her.
The soldiers stepped forward ready to lash at her but Alexander stopped them.
His lips curved into a small smile. She had surprised him with her bravery. Insulting the honorable President of Country Z. He wouldn't take it from anyone. But here he is smiling sheepishly at her bravery.
So far, he liked her, she mused him. She was probably the brave one. I guess I like the brave ones, he thought.
Olivia was the jealous type and she was the brave one. He'd like to see them fight over him.
