Chapter 21 - WHISPERED SECRETS OF A SHATTERED AGE 21

Qing Eena sat cross-legged in the center of his dimly-lit hideout. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, focusing his mind on the present moment. He had just finished training his younger siblings in the Rank F Dungeon~Horrible Wolves, and he needed some time to recharge and clear his mind.

As he meditated, he began to hear faint whispers in the background. At first, he dismissed them as his imagination playing tricks on him. But the whispers grew louder and clearer, until he could make out the voice of a familiar goddess - the Goddess of Whispers.

Qing Eena had known the goddess when she was alive, and she was notorious for her pranks and trickery. Even now, in her current form as part of the Whisper Energy Dimension, she still found ways to play tricks on him.

Qing Eena listened closely to the whispers, trying to make sense of them. He soon realized that they were recordings of the various gods' complaints and supplications against him when they were alive.

He couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and regret as he listened to the recordings. He had always tried to do his best and make everyone happy, but it seemed that he had unintentionally caused harm and offense to some of the gods.

As he continued to listen, the whispers started to take on a more playful tone. Qing Eena couldn't help but smile, recognizing the familiar mischievousness of the Goddess of Whispers.

"Ah, my dear friend," he whispered into the air, addressing the goddess. "You never fail to make me laugh, even in death."

The whispers faded away, leaving Qing Eena alone once again in his hideout. He opened his eyes and stretched, feeling reinvigorated by the experience. He knew that he had a lot of work to do, but he felt more determined than ever to make things right with the gods and continue his journey as a hunter.

As he stood up and made his way back to his parents' house, he couldn't help but wonder what other surprises lay in store for him on his journey. But he was ready for whatever challenges and adventures came his way, knowing that he had the support of his siblings and the memories of his dear friend, the Goddess of Whispers, to guide him.

The Eena Fish Stall business was booming and Qing Eena couldn't be happier. He had always wanted to help his family out financially and now, thanks to his magical abilities, he had found a way to do just that.

Qing had been thinking about the problem of storing fish for a while now. It was a common issue for fish sellers to have to store their products in cold storage in order to keep them fresh. But cold storage was expensive and took up a lot of space. Plus, there was the added cost of buying ice to keep the fish cool.

One day, as Qing was meditating in his backyard, he had a breakthrough. He realized that he could use his magic to create ice and store it in a specially made area at the back of the house. It would save his family a lot of money and give them a competitive edge over other fish sellers in the area.

Excitedly, Qing shared his idea with his family and they all agreed to give it a try. They cleared out a small space next to the house extension and Qing set to work on creating a magical inscription that would help preserve the ice for longer periods of time.

After a few days of experimentation, Qing was able to successfully create a block of ice that could last for several days without melting. It was a game-changer for their business. They could now store excess fish without worrying about it going bad, and they no longer had to spend money on ice.

As the days went by, more and more customers came to the Eena Fish Stall, impressed by the freshness and quality of the fish. Qing's family was making more money than ever before, and they were grateful to Qing for his innovative idea.

"Qing, I can't thank you enough for this," said his father, beaming with pride. "Our business has never been better. You have truly made a difference for our family."

Qing smiled back at his father. "I'm just happy to help, Dad. And who knows? Maybe there are other ways we can improve our business even more."

His mother nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's keep thinking of ways to make our business even better. With your magic and creativity, I know we can achieve anything."

And with that, Qing felt a surge of pride and joy in his heart. He was determined to keep using his magical abilities to help his family and make money out of it too, if others want some they need to buy some.

Qing Eena had never been interested in dating or relationships. He had always been focused on his goals, determined to become the strongest Hunter in the land. But when his parents insisted on setting him up on a blind date, he felt he had no choice but to at least meet the girl.

He arrived at the designated meeting place, a small café on the outskirts of town, and spotted a girl with long brown hair and bright green eyes sitting at a table in the corner. As he approached her, he noticed she was fidgeting with her hands and seemed nervous.

"Hi, I'm Qing," he said, introducing himself as he took a seat across from her.

The girl smiled shyly. "I'm Yna," she replied.

They ordered some drinks and started making small talk. Yna was indeed an air-head, as his parents had described her, but Qing couldn't help but find her endearing. She had a bubbly personality and a contagious laughter that made him feel at ease.

As they chatted, Qing noticed that Yna was also a Hunter, but unlike him, she worked in an office and handled administrative tasks. He couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed, as he had always imagined his ideal partner to be a strong and skilled Hunter like himself.

But then Yna started telling him about her experiences as a Hunter, about how she had used her intelligence and quick thinking to help her team complete missions successfully. Qing was impressed by her resourcefulness and her willingness to help others.

As they finished their drinks and said their goodbyes, Qing realized that he had actually enjoyed himself. He wasn't sure if he wanted to pursue a relationship with Yna, but he felt grateful for the opportunity to get to know her.

The next day, his parents called him and asked how the date went. Qing told them that Yna was nice, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to see her again.

"Well, that's too bad," his mother said. "Yna's parents were really hoping that you two would hit it off."

Qing felt a pang of guilt. He knew how important this was for Yna's parents, and he didn't want to disappoint them. He decided to give Yna another chance and asked her out on a second date.

This time, they went on a hike in the nearby mountains. As they climbed up the trail, Qing couldn't help but feel drawn to Yna's positivity and energy. She didn't complain about the steep incline or the heat, and instead made jokes and sang silly songs.

They reached the summit just as the sun was setting, and Qing felt a sense of peace and contentment that he hadn't felt in a long time. He looked at Yna and realized that he wanted to spend more time with her, to get to know her better and see where their relationship could go.

As they made their way down the mountain, Yna stumbled and almost fell. Qing caught her and held her close, feeling a surge of protectiveness and affection. He knew then that he had made the right choice in giving her a chance.

The next few weeks were a whirlwind of dates and adventures. Qing took Yna to his favorite restaurants and introduced her to his friends. He even took her on a mission with him, where he saw first-hand how intelligent and resourceful she could be in the face of danger.

But even as their relationship blossomed, Qing couldn't help but feel conflicted. He had always been focused on his goals as a Hunter, and he didn't want anything to distract him from his ambition.

This is what I want and its better to end it quickly, like ripping off a band-aid.

After a while, Qing Eena felt a sense of relief wash over him as he decided not to pursue Yna anymore. He knew it was the right decision for him, and he felt a weight lifted off his shoulders as he came to terms with his priorities. His parents, however, were disappointed.

"But son, don't you think it's important to have a partner in life?" his mother asked, her eyes pleading with him.

"I understand your concern, Mother, but I have a lot on my plate right now. Becoming a great Hunter takes a lot of dedication and focus, and I don't want any distractions," Qing replied calmly.

His father nodded in agreement. "Your mother and I just want what's best for you, Qing. But we understand your decision."

Qing smiled, grateful for his parents' understanding. "Thank you, Father. I appreciate your support."

As he walked back to his dimensional hideout behind his parents' house, Qing couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. He knew his parents only wanted what was best for him, and he couldn't help but feel like he was letting them down.

But he also knew that he had to stay true to himself and his goals. He had a lot of secrets to keep, and he couldn't afford any distractions or complications in his life right now.

As he settled back into his meditation, Qing felt a sense of calm wash over him. He focused on his breathing and the whispering echoes he could hear in the night, letting himself get lost in his thoughts.

But just as he was starting to drift off, he heard a knock on the door. Curious, he got up switched to the "default setting" of the shack and restored it back to normal before opening the door, only to find Yna standing there, looking nervous.

"Qing, can we talk?" she asked softly.

Qing's heart skipped a beat at the sight of her, but he quickly composed himself. "Of course, Yna. What's on your mind?"

Yna fidgeted with her hands, looking down at the ground. "I just wanted to say that I understand your decision not to pursue a relationship. I know you have a lot going on, and I don't want to be a distraction."

Qing felt a sense of relief wash over him at her words. He had been worried that she would take his rejection personally, but it seemed like she was handling it well.

"I appreciate your understanding, Yna. You're a great person, and I'm sure you'll find someone who is right for you," he said with a smile.

Yna looked up at him, her eyes shining with admiration. "You're amazing, Qing. I don't know how you do it all. I wish I had half of your determination and focus."

Qing felt his heart swell with pride at her words. He knew he had a lot to be proud of, but it was rare to hear such genuine admiration from someone else.

"Thank you, Yna. That means a lot to me," he said, his voice softening.

As they stood there in silence, Qing felt a strange sense of connection with Yna. He knew he couldn't pursue a relationship with her, but he couldn't help but feel drawn to her in some way.

But as the night wore on, Qing eventually bid Yna farewell when he saw her off and rode off on a Taxi Online and returned to his meditation. He knew he had a lot of work to do if he wanted to become the greatest Hunter of all time, and he couldn't afford any distractions.

As he closed his eyes and let himself drift off, Qing couldn't help but wonder what the future held for him. He had a lot of secrets to keep, and he knew he couldn't let anyone get too close.
