Makr had been running through the path for minutes, only halting when he reached the entrance of a cavern that.
He entered the cave and stayed sharp and alert for any surprises from any corner, setting his natural recklessness aside.

Lulee laid on the ground, not even having enough energy left in her to say a word but she managed to force her eyes open to see Makr. She was weak and sickly; she starved herself for days and barely had the strength to keep her eyes open much less speak to her visitor.
Makr rushed to her. "Are you alright?" he asked.
"Food," she whispered but Makr could not hear.
"What did you say?" he asked, leaning to listen.
"Food."
Makr looked around and his eyes caught sight of a plate of bread, hard and dry it had turned and a jar of water by its side. He couldn't tell how long they had been there but that was not essential in the moment.
