Chapter 61 - A New Friend

"You dare summon me, human!" Bastetina yelled, her voice roaring through her dimension.

Felin went down on a knee. "Grant me your power, o' mother of felines," he pleaded.

"You don't have enough in you to use my power, human," Bastetina said, "You're not ready."

"What does it matter!" Felin yelled. "I invoke our contract."

"You fool," Bastetina said, cursing the human as her form dispersed.

A busy town on the seaside, in a market crowded by a massive number of people.

Many bought and sold things and a few asked for alms from passers-by. Children ran about on the streets, laughing and playing without care of the world.

"Get out of here, you swine!" A man yelled, running out of his shop and hurling an empty can at a young boy. "Get away from here!" He yelled again.
